Over the last few days iv'e been playing the new madden demo for ps3. 1 of the things i have noticed (correct me if im wrong) but as for the Madden NFL 2003 Madden NFL 2004 Madden NFL 2005 Madden NFL 06 Madden NFL 07 Madden NFL 08 Madden NFL 09 Madden NFL 10 games they all used video referee decisions. So that got me thinking.. with the talk of video decisions being used in football games (and understandibly after the last world cup) it interests me to think how they would possibly use this in the near future for video games. How do you think they should approach it? surely all games must have a thing if the ball goes over the line.. it goes into cut scene mode and your players start celebrating. But what about for hidden fouls? is that not the beauty of the game? a player like messi is running circles around your team, your 2-0 down from the 1st leg in a champions league match, the ref isn't looking, whack, bye bye messi. Would it take the fun away?

There are two systems that are being discussed for this. No1 is the Hawk-Eye system where six cameras are placed around the stadium, cameras that are better quality than the 1s currently used, say movie quality for example and they slow down really fast disputed plays for the referees to stop the play and look at.

The second is called the Cairos GLT system where they use sensers in the ball to find out whether it crossed the line or not. This is thought to be much faster than the other system and allows for flowing football without much interuption.

When playing madden i noticed that you can only challenge 1 time every half, as football is not a stop start game this may benefit it, although perhaps alot of fouls would still go unnoticed? what do you guys think they should do?
