PLEASE KONAMI rework PES 5 and give us the best football experience back!!!!

Vote for Reworking PES 5!!!!

I do NOT vote for PES5 -- hugely flawed game, it's time to move on guys, PES5 was based on the D-Pad and had very bad refereeing,

That is why I sad to rework. :)

I dont like PES to become like FIFA.
PES 5 is great base for making amazing football simulation.

I mean think, in PES 2010 too many staff is smothering the game. Responce time, loading fancy movement when changing direction, Goalkeepers, unbalanced speed with or w/o ball...

PES 5 with advanced graphics, referees and some other things proved as good in newer series could be game without any major flaws.

I still hope to see PES 2011 like best PES ever, but year after year PES is confronting with some big game-play problem.

Am I right?

Yeah but that's precisely what I don't like about it, the word "reworked"

Saying "reworked" is not the same thing as, for example, saying "improved"

And I don't want to play a re-worked version of PES5, instead, I would like to play a re-invented version of PES5,

PES5 was the game with the most ELEGANT animations, which gave the game a very good feel; I would like to have ELEGANT animations once again; but unlike PES5 (where all the players feel and move identically), I want ELEGANT animations only for ELEGANT individuals; therefore adding a whole new element of player individuality in terms of feel,

For example, compare CR9 with Zinedine Zidane,

This, in my opinion, is like comparing PES 2010 with PES5: PES 2010 seems to be based around the tricks that CR9 uses, on the other hand, PES5 seemed to revolve around the delicate and elegant touch of Zinedine Zidane,

I want a new PES game, that has an ELEGANCE CARD, so that ELEGANT players feel ELEGANT... Thus adding a whole new element of player individuality,

The ELEGANCE is the only aspect of PES5 that I want to see re-worked; everything else about PES5 is outdated and I feel it has been somewhat re-worked with PES 2010,

PES6 -- in my opinion, a better game than PES5, but does not has that elegant feel of PES5, the delicate and elegant animations of PES5; it felt like everyone was Zinedine Zidane, it felt like the game was based on Zidane's elegant dribbling,

PE 2010 -- in my opinion, a much better game than PES5; however, in terms of feel and animations, PES5 is better.

For shizzle. Pes6 was in another world compared to 5.

EDIT - Amateur, 'elegance card?' have you been smoking or something???

Dude,

I don't get you, I agree that PES6 was better than PES5 -- but -- I'm talking about the movements of the players; in PES5 players had a more delicate and detailed dribbling, you could actually see when they dribbled with the outside part of their feet, etc, etc,

So it is very simple really, would you say CR9 is an elegant dribbler?? would you say Zinedine Zidane was an elegant dribbler?

ELEGANCE CARD -- is not the same as dribble accuracy, but will make the player move elegantly, and thus, the game will feel better when you play with an individual whom is an elegant dribbler,

Kind of like comparing the dribbling feel of PES5 with the dribbling feel of PES 2010 -- I don't want everyone feeling perfect and fluid, like in PES5, but it would be great of at least some individuals actually moved and felt different,

So, ELEGANT CARD -- call it whatever you want, point is that players should have a different feel to them; PES never improved in this aspect, and this is something that can be easily possible with a current-gen console

I'm not sure about the 'Elegance card'. Wouldn't it be better if instead of stats based player individuality, why not make it animation based? (If it is already then I apologise, but it's not really very obvious).

For example, couldn't Konami just take stills of Xavi passing, in various stages of a pass, and recreate it in the game for each type of pass? Short inside of the boot, short outside of the boot, short toe poke, long inside of the boot, long outside of the boot, chip, reverse pass etc. Do that for every player (or at least the best 5 players in every team) and the player individuality would be immense.

Instead of the players just looking like their real life counterparts, they should play like them too, because at present Messi only feels like he plays the same as he does in real life, he doesn't look like he does in real life in the way he moves, shoots and passes, other than being fast.

The elegance card -- it's the same thing, if a player has the elegance card he will have elegant dribbling skills; it's the same thing with all the other cards,

The game is supposed to offer 5 different dribbling animations; however, they are all identical... so the 5 type of dribbling animations are, really, very outdated, and you could even say it's all a lie to give an illusion of "player individuality"

I mean, what is the point of these 5 type of dribbling when all the dribbling animations are based on the same concept?

I agree, Leo Messi can dribble past players, but the detail in terms of dribbling style and animations; in real-life, Messi gives the impression of gliding through the pitch... in PES he moves and feels just like everyone else; the only difference is that Messi is faster, but you look at his feet, and he doesn't moves like Messi,

If Konami does not improves on their outdated player individuality; EA Sports will make them look bad when, once they have implemented all the personified animations, detailing differences between CR9 and Leo Messi, etc, etc.

Konami should take a very good look at PES5, and they should implement an "Elegant Dribbling" Card into PES 2011 or PES 2012,

So that the individuals with the "elegant dribbling" card will a better and more delicate touch on the ball; it would be like merging PES5 animations with PES10 animations into one game,

This would really take "player individuality" to the next level,

I couldn`t agree more. I think that for PES 5, Konami used Dragan Stojkovic Pixy, who was legend in Japan!!

In PES 2010 they used Messi (with sensors) in studio to animate players animations in general

I made this video so you can see movements of Gerrard in PES 5 and PES 2010

So it would be just an aesthetic thing - the card wouldn't make the player any better, just look different. In that case, why not just have a few different styles of animation (which they do anyway don't they??) for different players?

It would FEEL different; as for aesthetics, why do so much people liked Zidane?? He was never the best passer of the ball, he was never the best goal-scorer, but aesthetically, he was the most elegant dribbler probably of all-time,

That's the problem, it's not only aesthetic, players should FEEL different; not all players, but you get the point,

If the animations are slightly different but feel identical, it makes no difference; like you said, it would only an aesthetic thing,

Animations must look different and feel different; as if a player from PES5 was accidentally implemented into PES 2010 -- how different would the PES5 player look and feel when compared to the PES 2010 players?

That's what I've been trying to say,

I agree

Different types of players needed!!

The "FEEL" of controling different type of player

Zidane type: (moving like on PES 5)
Players receive, handle, dribble and pass the ball better
(Rooney, Xavi, Aloso, Totti, Melo, Sneider, Gerrerd, Lampard, Kaka, Podolski, Fabregas, Forlan )

Ibra type:
Solid on ball, but can use their quickness little better
(Torres, Ibrahimovic, Dzeko, van Persie, Villa, Pato )

Messi type: (moving like on PES 2010)
Player should be able to use their quickness
(Messi, C.Ronaldo, Wright-Phillips, Robben, Ribery, Wallkot)

Hard worker:
Player should be able to use their balance in game better
(Esien, Gattuso, Ballack, Hulk, Toni, Vidic, Terry, Ivanovic)

Big men type:
Players able to use height
(Klose, Zigic, Crouch)

GK type:

Reflex based GKs:
Keeper should look quick, elastic, flexible, jumpy
(Ochoa, James, van der Sarr, Valdes)

Positioning based GKs:
Keeper should look static, dominant.
(Cech, Reina, Buffon, Cesar)

Player should have:
Scale from Rigid to Elastic (flexible) running
Scale from Warm to Cold temperament
Scale from short to long steps

Player stats should rise or fall during the match, depending on:
- player stamina
- player type
- player temperament
- result
- possession of the ball
- errors
