well........when you first start off a new ML, you pick a team you want to use as before, and then you pick what league you want to be in, there are 4 leagues you can choose for Division 1, named A, B, C, & D. all the teams are randomly put into a league, so if you want to play against certain teams, look at each league carefully, if you don't like the way the teams are distributed, you can press X (cancel), choose your team and it'll randomly sort teams again. You are also given a random list of Div 2 teams as well, guess they have it sorted out which teams are weaker in the game.
you start off in Div 2 as always, you have league games and cups games, but this time, if you get into first or second you are automatically relegated, no more playoffs. Division 1 you also have league and cup games, I got 1st place my first season in Division 1 and the next year I got to play WEFA games, which comprises of top teams from other leagues, there doesn't seem to be a WEFA cup, you just play the top teams, not sure yet.
the new ML includes a calender, shows you when you'll play your matches, it looks like a calender of one month, but it actually is 1 year because the years change after the season, which I found odd. you can only change your player's numbers during the off-season which I find pretty annoying, but whatever, it's not that important. you cannot adjust fatigue or transfer settings, you must play with accumulated fatigue and other teams will always be able to do transfers.
now, the transfer system and points. You have the same basic options, buy, loan, and trade; same as before, pick the team, pick the player you want, and somehow it generates a transfer fee number depending on what you want to do. You also have to take note of which teams are available to choose, because if the team your favourite player is in is NOT in any of the four leagues, you must search for him, using the search function, and it he will be shown as not in a team so you can't trade for him, you have to buy him. There is also a free agent icon within the team selections, so getting players on free transfer is easier, I've seen Lampard and Mutu in there, as well as many other good players, so be sure to check it frequently. For the points system, this time you don't pay your salaries every week, instead it adds up the total salary points of your entire team and you have to pay it at the end of your off-season negotiations, so DON'T overspend in the offseason, trust me, I didn't know and I got game-over the first time I tried the ML
800 points for a win and 400 for a draw in Division 2 and 1000 win and 500 draw in Division 1, 40 points per goal
player improvements..........every player has their own little "learning curve", goes kinda like this /```\, young players are usually on the rising part, and older ones on the declining part, each game they play, their stats go up by a percentage of 1 point, so it may take a while for them to gain 1 point in certain skills, how fast they go up depends on where they are on the curve and how they do each game, older players' skills slowly decrease
what else........not sure, ask some questions
