I had an old thread about the US cover, but screw it. Looks like this is it?

I guess since WE8, they NEED an actual player, adds more legitimacy I guess? Not like anyone unfamliar with the sport will be drawn to this cover, but yeah...Whatever, can't wait for online PS2 WE9 (gonna have to get a network adapter)! Don't forget to check outpost.com for possible deals. Last year I got WE8 for $29.99 shipped from them.

i think its just called we9 international for the u.s market but with no gameplay difference not sure whether they have updated the squads though

I dont think it will have any updated squads. Pretty much its just Pro Evo 5 with a different title and picture on the cover. haha

the US WE9i cover looks pretty sweet. it would have been more cool if it was henry, since John Terry isn't a big name known in the US.

Yeah it would be great, but i remember when WE8:i came out here in the states in Feb 2005, Wayne Rooney was still at Everton in the game, so its pretty unlikely that the transfers will be updated anywhere past the summer transfers.

What format will everyone be using to update the crappy Option file the game will come with?

I'll probably buy the Xbox version of WE9I so I can transfer the logos and stuff from my Xbox WE8I Option file, while I wait to download an Option file on my Action Replay.

@slippy627: No, MLS teams will not be in WE9:i, but if you have some free time you can always create the teams by editing others teams that you don't care about into MLS teams.

@Feanor: I'll probably just transfer the data over from my WE8:i option file except for the badges because after seeing Whistle's work, i think i'm gonna use his badges for my game.

I've never played wxi or pes before...
but i'm definatley getting it this year. I see that you can edit the boots and kits, but I know some kits are already in the game. Are all the spanish la ligas sides in the game with ther real kits, and players? Like does valencia have the nike tick or atletico madrid have the nike tick?
Also, can we get the maxdrive in the US anywhere? How long would it taake me to edit on the xbox?

Thanks for the help, I can't wait to get into this in about a month, the other game has driven me mad.

Finally.. Now I won't lag like crazy when my opponent is hosting :) It's a bitch when they are hosting because I lag alot and always end up losing. Even if i'm up 3-0, they always come back and win 3-4. So of course I'm going to always lag because I play people from France, Italy, Spain etc..

Now that Winning Eleven 9 is coming out for america, I will be able to play against local people and less lag :)

Also has anyone notice that WE9 looks a bit different? Like the details of the players? And I notice the gameplay looks a bit faster than PES5.

When I get the game I plan on editing in MLS but now I need to know how to do the jerseys (can you do hoops?0 and I need to find out how to do the players for all the teams.

@gamst: Good choice on buying WE9:i, you wont regret it, and yeah the spaniish la liga is fully licensed(kits, players, etc.). I'm sure you can order a maxdrive online, check this website, theres probably some links around.

@theruler: Well from what i understand, there are shit loads of kit templates in the game's editor, and yeah you can do hoops, so basically it will just be trial and error trying to make the MLS kits, but i'm sure its possible. As for making the players, thats gonna be a lot tougher because you will have to create their stats and appearances yourself.
