I think you can't select the other teams then. They are only in the Nippon challenger.

That sucks big time. The teams are in there anyway so why not let us use them? Konami always have to fuck something up. Playing African or Asian cup with only 5 or 6 teams available is complete nonsense. Funning thing is this game is japanese which is asian yet still they don't have all asian teams available for a chance to play a true asian cup.

Maybe Konami have sacrificed the Nippon Challenge mode in WE9 for a similar style European Challenge mode in PES 5! Just imagine Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, San Marino, Faroe Islands, Andorra, etc! I'm in dream land here!

I guess Konami would include this shortly after they find Lord Lucan, some pigs Fly and Hell freezes over

I hope you are right about that Liechtenstein Jim. It's cooler to play the European qualifiers with Holland against Liechtenstein, Armenia etc than to play for instance against Laos.

You're spot on. If someone could be kind enough to do a patch replacing all the club teams with national teams from various continents, that would definitely solve things.

guyes, let's not make up things..please if you're just posting things that have no reliable sources, or you're just being "creative", STOP NOW!!! If the screens I saw are authentic, hey great news..it's always better to have more teams in my view...

Yeah they should defo have something similar for europe, so we can pick any European country to play the wc qualifiers. for many years I have longed for Iceland in Pes but I gave up hope after we fell below 90 on the fifa list

I agree with Lami (as quoted by Gunplay). By the way, Konami should add more Latin American Teams! Maybe a feature called "National Challenge for 2006", where you take your home national squad (whatever it may be) through the qualifying rounds and into the World Cup.

if konami can't or don't want to add more international teams then why not let us do that? give us the freedom to create and edit as much teams as we want and add them to the list, that way its easier for us, and them, the lazy bums.
