yeah first try...looks fantastic.

My only beef is I wish intl'l kits had badges instead of kit maker...which might be possible. I'm hoping to find another file that already has it like that.

I buy a Max Drive, can i download an X-port option file? I thought i read somewhere that u can just change the file name to .max instead of .xps

How much do Max drives cost? And where can u get one? the one at Gamestop was $40. Can u get them cheaper without ordering online?

Well, on that thread i linked to is both an option file for we9 (I) and a pes5 to we9(I) converter (which I cannot get to work)

My max drive...I think was around 20 dollars US, but I ordered mine online. I'm surprised they sell them at best buy.

Pleaase ALWAYS specify Xbox or PS2 when discussing option files! Otherwise people read all this stuff and it just ends up being a c**k tease when they find out you're discussing PS2.;)

I downloaded the option file, now i just need to copy the file into the max drive,then plug it into the PS2 USB port, then overwrite the option file on the memory card, right?

If you go to OperationSports.com (you need to register), there is someone there working on updating the Xbox version manually. He posted a file that is mostly complete and only needs player and team names updated for 10 clubs. If you wait a day or two he might have it complete, or you can download it and finish the work yourself.

No, "better yet" would be for someone to just upload the file to a hosting site and save everyone the trouble of signing up to a forum they won't be using.

Well, it's kind of tough to do that when you're at work. Thank goodness for break time though. Here's some of the information on what the file contains as posted by the guy that edited it:

here is the state of my Option file. It has:

-Correct names for every club team
-Proper emblems for most of the non-licensed club teams
-Correct names for every stadium
-Correct player names for the English, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Spanish Leagues
-Correct player names for Benfica and Fenerbache

-No editing done to countries
-No edited stats
-Default kits
-Only two transfers: Roy Keane to Celtic and Baros to Aston Villa

The 10 teams listed below still have fake player names. The number given is the order in which the teams appear on the Edit team screen.

6 - Club Brugge

11 - FC Lokomotiv Moskva
12 - Olympiacos CFP
13 - Panathiniakos FC

16 - RSC Anderlecht

Hehe, that's my file. :) Just want to say again that it's for the Xbox version. I'm probably not going to bother editing all the Other leagues teams as I won't play with them much before the PES 5 to WE 9 Option file converter is released.

There are 3 errors in my Option file that I know about:

On the Edit stadium name screen, stadium 12/27 should be "Berlin Olympia Stadion", stadium 18/27 should be "La Bombonera" and stadium 20/27 should be "Niigata 'Big Swan' Stadium".
