what about the master league? havent they said they were improving that? would that not be classed as a major improvment? after all, if the ML was made to actually be abit more exciting then i feel Konami would have done well. it definatly needs an update..

Hitman, I was just referring to the PS2 titles, but like you say the obvious leap was ISS on PS1 and PES on PS2. Almost quantum like you might say. Imagine creating a player based on Sam Beckett and blah, blah.......

and on this issue... i think its fair to say most the people who have been playing pes for a while felt disapointed with the changes from pes to pes2... and very disapointed with pes2 to pes3... but this year it seems as though konami have actually made a big effort to update the game fully as opposed to just a few minor changes

Yeah, they should change back to the old system of 1 league and 3 or 4 divisions, instead of four different Leaguse with less teams.

i moaned a LOT when playin we7i-j. i was used to we7 and dribbling was my key.
we7i-j was much slower. even in the response. i hated it at the begining. the smoother gameplay made me want to play it more, until i got the hang of it

am i the only one that is really gettin bored with pes3, the masterleague is borin even on 5*, the only time pes is fun is playin against people because u get a bit o banter and have a lauf wi them, u cant exactly lauf at a ps2 wen u beat it, so i rarely play single player now, i hadnt played in 4weeks, went bak played one game, me chelsea against man u, beat them 8-1, its too easy and very borin, who shares my opinion, im only 15 btw

yeah the master league is boring cos its unrealistic....pes does get better each year but i hope they start to evolve real fast cos after pes4, what else can they offer in pes5??? add a couple of licenses to english teams? add a couple of new skills?? its not as if im gonna turn to fifa or anythin..no way in hell...but all im sayin is that konami need to try and work extremely hard on leagues like on fifa so it can be more enjoyable then it already is

did i at any point in my post say that the games had not got better? i merely said it was a disapointment as there have been no great advances. gameplay is getting gradually better each year with tweaks here and there, as are player models... but other than that whats changed? the stadiums/crowd are pretty much identical, as are the cameramen etc. seen around the pitch, as are the pitch textures pretty much, as are the chants, and the commentary still sucks, as does the lack of basic options such as 2 player leagues (although this can technically be done using round robin).... so basically all im saying is that its a disapointment when all we get each year (other than isspe2 to pes) is a very basic update with only a few tweaks. after seeing the in-game movie from this years game im looking set to be again disapointed, as once again konami haven't really lived up the hype by the looks of it. i mean im not going to make a finally judgement here and now before playing the game, but frankly i cant wait for the ps3, because thats when we will see a true evolution.
