What can Konami learn from EA for PES 2014?

I have been playing PES for many many years now, and have never really play FIFA at all. For the ones that have, what do you think can be learn from the rival game?

I think there is a lot that could be learned from Fifa.

Divisional rankings for online MLO is a BIG thing IMO. Not sure why they took out divisions from PES 12. I would like the idea that as a general consensus you wouldnt play anyone who wasnt in your division... or maybe one or above or below.
I would like to see 10 divisions in online PES and closer syncs with the teams around you.I honestly dont mind about being matched with a guy who has only lost 8 times in MLO - its quite impressive but I know his team is going to wipe the floor with mine.

I think FUT from what I know also has more depth to it than MLO? ofc MLO has player contracts and form, which is quite important but it would be great if teamwork could improve as they have in FUT with the concept of chemistry between your players.

Doesn't this already happen in PES, or have they removed that too? Each player has a teamwork rating which would be significantly lowered when they'd initially sign for you. I'm sure this was how it was... not sure if it still is?

Both games can learn from each other, to be fair. PES has the player individuality that Fifa lacks. Fifa has better online capability. You can actively avoid playing the big teams if you wish, which doesn't seem to be the case in PES.

What will make people convert is licenses. Thats what peopel complain about and hardly ever is about the gameplay itself.

More license, more fans unfortunately

I agree with you. It is unfortunate, gameplay should be the priority but for most people is playing with the correct team shirt and name.

no regional games, make one game for all and option files working on all copies.

smoother animations and ability to skip replays faster.

One thing Konami can learn from EA is to put an ending in Master League so you actually have something to aim for. FIFA's manager mode ends after 15 seasons. Other than that and possibly getting more licensed leagues, it's EA who should learn from Konami.

Ending in master league? No no no, what should be implemented is a proper managerial experience, the ability to be sacked, find another team to manage etc, why do I want a limited span on my team? That would mean a 16 year old wouldn't see past 31?!

My suggestion I think people would agree is much better

They could do something similar to what Football Manager is doing this year - have one mode for the proper experience as you detailed, and other "classic" mode, ie a simpler Master League like those from the PES5/6 days.

Regarding ML, one thing I'd like them to learn from Fifa, is the ability to scout for (randomly generated) youth players from across the world.

Its not that FIFA is at its best but i would like to mention what pes can add to their new serise-
master league needs to be flexible we are stucked with the same team for unlimated seasons that makes me boring i think manager should get transfred as well. which is included in FIFA'S manager mode.
it¡¯s silly to see your youth team populated by random players with varying nationalities. I began my season as As Roma from the Italian league and the youth team on hand should be filled with an overwhelming amount of Italianplayers; I counted just one, and little blips in detail like this are what threaten to destroy any and all sense of immersion the game. And finally, the game¡¯s commentary provided by ESPN UK¡¯s Jon Champion and former Irish footballer Jim Beglin is dull, repetitive, and simply passable at best, i hope it will be changed.

Player plus cash transfers, better contract renewals, why the hell should someone who disagrees once with my offer hold off until they are are free agents its sickening!

Stadium sizes should affect budget, ticket prices, scout for sponsors for example create commercial links in Asia for higher revenue, better leagues...

That being said are EA not being sued at the moment for unlawful monopoly on the sports game? I think they are losing too, haven't followed up on it much tbh but if they do lose then I think we could see more sports games as a result!

I don't know about EA but they should deffinatley learn from all the feedback that's been given on various forums

Like omitting the league modes...Whose stupid idea was that?

In Football Life.. why have they got rid off the manager player interraction in exchange for a ridiculous childish item and boot purchasing system which destroys any feeling of being a manager what they should of done is enhanced this system and improved on it..because actually It worked well...now it is a complete abomination

Tackling wtf?? why do you now get yellow and even 2nd yellow and therefore Red cards for the slightest contac with the player...I believe that 2012 vesion was already to finicky and now they make it even harder to tackle cleanly....sort this out Konami it is fundementally wrong

good things are the smoothness of the mechanics in the gameplay though i'm not sure if the new so called better teamwork AI actually does what it says on the top of the tin....P

National Anthems for international teams..though why are some of them missing ..like the World champs for instance??!

As well as the above changes from the above list I would really love to see 2 new features elements for PES 2014.... Chants correct for almost all teams... and not some disused dorment chant ...I would like to see current modern chants for the major Leagues..This would enhance the realism and authenticity and excitement massiveley

Secondly how about a feature where you could create a manager for each team which the AI would then use whenever it plays with that team and you could obviousley see the representation of the person in the cut scenes.. This should be made possible for every team, to enhance this you should also be able to create UNLIMITED manager profiles for each human player with a complete record of their achievements rather like the game has overall but for each profile and also for each team...this is the type of think in which the NFS franchise has developed and enhanced and people have taken to it in a big way

BTW I have been playing PES since the ISS days back on the playstation 1 :)

For ML, from FIFA:
-scouting with a generated player base
-a more comprehensive transfer system
-opportunity for international management
-ability to change jobs

they should get rid of the cut scenes when you get a messege from the chairmen. its so 90s lol.

i would like them to use the scores displayed from other games during the game like fifa does.

all the football boots and create staidums should be sold sepreate like a download thing.

they could add a mini 5aside mode
what about a scenero mode like on superstar deluxe on the snes when you had 12 differnt ones too overcome.

football games need to be fun again. pes master leaugue seems like a chore these days.

Players freedom !
In FIFA u can control the player in which direction u want and recive the ball easily ! and the passing system should be changed !
I know in PES 2014 Konami will use a new engine and many things will be changed in 2014 ! but players freedom should be one of the changes !
