What does "Gauge" mean in command list?

for free kick, does gauge on x or triangle means press hard? I don't think Konami did a good translation job.

Gauge is the power bar. If i want power on my shot i usually press the shot button along with triangle.

wouldn't you just pass instead?

You press :circle: (I have circle as shoot) then a millisecond later you press :triangle:

yeh it works ..... i always wondered how the hell ai free kick takers can make becks generate so much power.
but yeh hold triangle after the power is on for more POWER

A question, does this also work on normal shots???

I usually use R2 for long range shots and blast them in a lot of times. You would be suprised how effective that is with almost all players. Even Macco from the original ML team!

ye sit does work with normal shots..try it out for yourself in training mode, but be wary players with very poor accuracy and/or shot level will tend to sky it instead
