What happened to the cutscenes during subs and is there a difficulty jump?

Did the patch cause these? I can no longer see the players subbing each other. And it seems like the difficulty jumped. I'm only on regular (excuse me if I'm not as good as you) but it feels like I'm playing on professional. I'm constantly losing to the CPU now and it's not just losing. It's the way I play. I can't score and I even have a hard time possessing the ball.

Not sure about cut scenes, but the difficulty does appear to be tougher. I would switch between Top Player And Superstar previously, but now I'm playing a really good game against professional. CPU is playing less direct, but I am seeing some things out of them I never saw before on more difficult levels. I'm seeing more variety on CPU corner kicks, even saw a nice backheel to a cutting player inside the box. My jaw dropped. Love this game.

This is weird. I already got rid of the patch and went back to the old game play and the cut scenes are sill gone. Did I unknowingly adjust something in the options?

Cut scenes for subs are random. Sometimes you see them sometimes you don't. You usually see them when the sun is being made in the 75 + min in the game.
