What is wrong with Kuyt?

Sorry for the misleading title , there is nothing wrong with Kuyt, he is a class player.

BUT

recently I noticed the commentator stopped saying his name when I'm playing the game.

So I go to edit, and check under commentary name for Kuty and it says none...

So I go look up his name, and its not there?..... what happened? This is realy really realy strange to me


Any help would be awesome.

yep they have proabably removed his name, just like they did with the Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas (one of the best players in the world imo) but include players like Senderos, Bendtner and Vela (i rate the last 2)

IMO i think it shocking and really quite poor from konami to miss out players names, i mean how hard is it, hard lawro a peice of paper with players name on it and ask him to say them while being recorded. 1 hour job max! lazy pricks!

you are right.

this makes no sense.. why would they take the effort to remove his name from the game.... it was in 2009.... . Because its really hard for me to imagine that all the programmers all sat down in a big desk, and said " hey.... how about that Kuyt guy.... you know what I mean?" and then the next guy " I KNOW ! RIGHT?! lets remove his name, but we'll add "360 control" so nobody will notice, right? "

so true, i know some people dont really bother about the commentry part of the game and say it doesnt matter but i feel it matters and im sure there are many others people thinking the same a me.

Yet these people that say the dont bother about the commentry are usually the ones who want "boots" added to the game, ffs there only boots you can hardly see them unless there in replys and your zooming in on there shoe or if they wear white boots.

Indeed Indeed. It just shows akward lazyness. Why would they take the effort to take out Kuyts name..... if I was kuyt and I just bought this game for my kids, I would be PISSSSSED haha.

Also , Konami was so happy to announce to use, the now licensed Germany national team! yay!.... whats this? HALF OF THE PLAYERS NAMES arent called by the commentator again.... what in the..... LAZY FUCKS? yes sir. Cmon man, iw ant to hear the commentator say SCHWEINSTEIGERRRRRRRRRRR

In fact, the majority of the commentary (if not all of it) is re-used from 09. They haven't recorded any new things that I've heard so far. Although I think I heard Champion say something the other night that I don't recall hearing before.

So certainly they either took a decision to remove players names, or they literally forgot to add them. It may also be a sponsorship thing. (the players agent didn't want their names to be 'said' in game or something).

Seems a bit silly to me though. They were there in 09, so...

It's as if sometimes Konami take orders from an actual monkey or something. Kuyt and Cesc have been in the few editions before this one and I doubt they do a new recording each time. Honestly how fuckin hard would it have been? :rolleyes:

Even funnier I remember Cesc Fabregas had an early viewing of the game. (I think it was on the konami website.) So maybe he said he didn't rate the game & it angered Konami. If I was him I'd take my signed shirts back!

I haven't even thought about it.

Still though, Dirk has said a few times that his name is pronounced "Kout", like the word out. Only with a little bit of Canadian added to it ^^

^^Strange that, cos I've asked a couple of Dutch speakers (Belgian and Dutch) and they said it was like "Kuiyt" or something. Admittedly, neither of them are football fans, they were going by the spelling.

It rhymes with Cruyff. You don´t pronounce it like Kout. That´s wrong more like Cruyff.

But it is really that the names of Fabregas and Kuyt are not in it anymore. I thought I did hear it in this edition but now I´m not sure.

uh huh....konami were betta off addin no commentry 2 da game at all, tbh....same as da last games wer der were problems....even reserve playas deserve 2 have their names added in the game....after all, playas lyk vela and macheda at the moment luk lyk they hav da potential to win world playa of the year, so y not put their names in??? hu agrees???

i think it would be interesting to actually ask champion and lawro when the last time they recorded something was because i suspect they have a huge ammount of stock recordings which they could just put in the new game.
