Sometimes I get sick of PES 2014 MLO and I stop playing the game till I feel like playing a few matches again. After weeks or even month I start playing again and everything's fine: The passing is crisp, my players are reacting properly and my strikers are able to score some fine goals BUT THEN - after a few matches - everything changes: Suddenly it feels like I have button delay; my players reacting too slow/opponent is much faster, my passes are going everywhere but not where I pointed them and my strikers stumble every time they are in a good position for a shot or the opponent's goalkeeper saves almost everything.

What is this? Is this some kind of mental problem; that you're head works slower after a while or is this some Konami scripting bullshit? It's almost like the game recognizes that you haven't played for a while, is trying to hook you on again and when it got you hooked on, it just likes to mess with you.

Seriously, i've never played a video game before which I feel its only intention is to make a fool out of me. Especially when these matches occur YOU JUST CAN'T WIN, because the ball is always jumping back to the opponents players, opponent is able to win the ball in almost every tackle, almost every pass is intercepted in no time and the ball is just glitching through your defenders.

Yeah all pro evo games are chock full of various cheats - one of the worst is when it actually ignores your controller input to plausibly deny you great opportunities (doing a regular through ball when it should be a chip with the pass being intercepted)

One of the things in some of the older games that seemed to work that I'm not sure is relevant is you could change one of the save files to read-only and it stopped the game from keeping a record of your wins and losses etc... which meant it felt like the first time you played it every time.

I'm not playing this game at all - I reinstalled 2013.

The good bits about 2014 are the physics, collisions, graphics and animation. However, the fundamentals for controlling your players are completely broken like 2010. Slow response etc etc...

The cheats are always there but fifa is so laughably bad and the cheats aren't quite so bad in exhibition mode which makes pro evo something people always come back to.

PES6 was great - but when you go back to play it now it - it's ruined because we're spoilt from all the improvements made in the other games. There is certainly some very basic great things about it that I think Konami should try to retain when going forward.

That was quite a long message.

I personally have enjoyed every pro evo from when I started (PES4) and the only 2 I have refused to play have been 2010 and 2014 due to broken control stuff. Both time this has been frustrating because they made a lot of progression in other areas.

It's like having a car though, you can give it all the cool gadgets like automatic wipers and heated seats but if the pedals are at the wrong angle to the seat it'll be almost undriveable.....
