What should the devs do now?

Personally, I own the Xbox 360 version, and I think they need to fix the edit mode. Forget the gameplay for now; it's fine. I want all the things I remember from the edit mode in PES5 on PS2; what happened to all strip creation options, and paint tool for logos, and the ability to edit boots, the emblem and the flags that the fans wave? I really don't see how any of these things would be so difficult to add. And, last, but in no way least, give us some way to import or create images without owning an Xbox Live Vision Camera; either using a PC connection or a paint tool; I don't see why I should have to shell out an extra £20 just to access the edit features. Who agrees with this?

I dont think they will fix anything that big on this one... But I sure hope they will give us "old" and better editing mode on PES09... Or. Then get all the damn licenses :p

i think your right the slowdown issue is pretty major, and the edit mode is a lacking a bit of the good stuff, lol

the online slowdown(360 anyway) will only be temporary I think? I heard it usually takes them a few weeks to have the online mode spot on?

i bought a camera for £15 ages ago,i bought the game for £30 so thats waht an extra £5 since most paid £40 for the game. i would pay an extra fiver for A my face in game B ability to put players i like and mates in game C edit my own kist if neccessary/make good templates D put myself in rb6 which i originally bought it for E if i ever decide i want a web cam i dunno to strip for some old perv which seems to be the only reason for web cams,i have one now.

so i dont really agree.it will be used for all sports games pretty soon, well thos with create a character functions, which is all sports games.....so its not paying £20 just for PES divide it between all the game syou will end up using it for it would be moer like £1 on pes max in the next couple of years.
man im an arsey bastard tonight

i think they should re-build the gameplay engine and make it feel more like a next-gen game not a shiny old-gen version , my opinion
and stop making old-gen versions and focus on next-gen

I'm not really dissing the live vision function as such; when I first heard about it, I thought it would be great, but I didnt think it would be the only option for advanced kit editing; this is just a travesty. Firstly; why would it have been so hard to allow us to import pictures from our PCs/flash drives? That way I could have used pictures taken with the webcam I already own (not compatible with Xbox 360). If this was difficult, then why not just add the paint tool that we have had in all previous-gen versions? That was perfectly functional. Lastly, they have still implemented the editing feature that are there very poorly; why can't we use preset faces for created players? Why can't we use a player as a base for created players? Where are the options for having an untucked shirt? Why can't we edit emblems? Why can't we edit boots? Why don't we have the old strip design customisation options? I could go on, but I think you get the point; this is just laziness, Konami.

Seabass also claims the game engine is 'perfect' ...I've not noticed that much of a difference from PES6 though if I'm honest?

Also the 'teamvision' crap he's going on about saying the computer AI adapts to your tactics and such...I don't think they do, it just seems the same as it's always been in PES game.

Yeah, I haven't really seen any evidence of the "Team Vision". I could have forgiven all these things if they had got the edit mode right, though.

I'm a huge PES loyalist, and even I'm getting pretty dubious about Konami. I'm still hoping they'll pull though and give us some decent patches for this game, though.

Whats the "importing your face into the game" like ??? Any good ??? I'm very tempted to buy the cam.

I also think the edit mode isn't as good as previous versions. SAying that, the playability is a vast improvement on last years edition for the xbox 360. I'm very happy with it to be honest.

I'm still a bit sceptical about the goalkeeper camera angle for saving penalties, but I guess that'll grow on me.

The speed of the game needs to be fixed. If they keep speeding it up every year they might as well call it Pro Racing Evolution Soccer.

Has anybody else notice that the England home strip screws up when it gets untucked? (This is on the Xbox 360 version). It kind of blurs with the shorts at the back.
