what you love and hate about pes2011

hate:

1. had a hard time patching the game (got used to the easy copy paste option file like before)

2. a.i. is retarded, specially on bal mode... (a.i. was better 09 below)

3. even though a.i. is retarded, opponent executes pinpoint stealing and sliding tackles, and pretty good buildup plays... while your teammates suck as hell, even if your in a top club like arsenal or real madrid...

3. its frustrating as hell... (just broke the arm off my comp. chair...)

4. there seems to be an invisible force field when opponent makes a pass(i.e. you think you can get the ball because of your direction momentum and timing, but you suddenly slow down and fail the intercept...)

5. i dont mind the ball handler is slower than the defender, i think its a nice feature that makes you make better plays... what i dont like is both players chasing a through pass and the defender beats me to it even though i win the "stats battle"

7. speaking of which, alot of things look the same(entrance, reactions, animations etc...) cmon konami... you didnt think wed notice?

love:

1. player movements look better, except for bicycle kicks...

2. negotiations are easier...

3. i like the new passing system(you only have yourself to blame for a bad pass)

4. better interface while setting formations (still a fan of 09 below, simplicity works)

5. keepers are a bit better, but some still save to the path of strikers for the rebound... lame way to score...

6. hiring staff have stats that actually help you...

7. you can skip several matches in bal mode... just hope there is a same feature in ml that simulates several matches...

8. i like the penalty system, even though i havnt got 1 in yet, i like the fact that its harder...

Never had a single problem with quick match making or any other type of matchmaking.

The online game is beautiful..

1. face scan mode - the quality are very poor. i hate it. ps3 not like com version.
2. unlockable player - player that must unlock got no real face. even he's a star.
3. tight kits - only for licence team.
4. camera angle - konami had take away broadcasting 1 camera (my fav sin old pes).
5. comenntary - some time he keep silence.
6. kits design - template design are old, not compatible with season 2010/11.
7. penalty - for GK saving, diving button are lack.
8. dive - its hard to dive to get free kick or penalty, always get card.
9. A.I - team mates some times disturbing own team mates passing.
10. crossing passing - button too sensitive.
11. ball size - i think ball size doesnt look actual size.
12. stadium - general design. some stadium cant be created.
12. turf - still the same. turf not look real. fifa got very good turf.
13. winning price - dont have any point for winning a cup or league.

love
1. tight kits - love too see team that have tight kits.
2. player real face - face look more polish and real.
3. feint - more variable skills and real.
4. player movement - look better and real.
5. GK - GK are improve and better this year.
6. pes league n div. 2 - we can edit. great!!!! more option for league
7. bayernmunich - been waiting for this team for 3 year.
8. stadium creator - great new feature
9. i just love pes.

The truly stunning thing is that Beglins lines are almost identical to Mark Lawrensons lines from last year. Whenever i listen to PES commentary I always have the image of Krusty from the simpsons when he records his lines for a commercial and it takes about 20 secs while he smokes a cigar... I Mean really if you cant get decent proper commentators find some people no ones ever heard of and use them, or failing that Ron Atkinson ftw!!

My main gripes are -

1 Ludicrous defensive AI formations
2 Uber through balls down the middle that you cant intercept that travel about half the pitch
3 your own defenders crashing into each other in defense and scoring own goals or conceding corners.

The rest is all pretty good tbh

I would say miss and not hate:

- loss or camera angle and no new ones
- not being able to choose between loose/normal/tight marking (like old games)
- not being able choose level of semi-assisted switching (like old games)
- not being able to set angle of runs individually per player (like old games)
- not being able to set individual off/def levels per player (like old games)
- not being able to search/sort in ML straight away [to see who has the best jump/header/power/speed etc. of all players in the game] (like old games)

Hate:

- the way players stand around and don't react on defense
- really HATE having to take my thumb off the left stick to change the strats and off/defensive levels manually

Prolly more but I will leave it there. Still like the game but was upset to lose features.

I'm pretty sure you can change the game speed in options. Bump it up a level or two and see how it goes.

people using that rainbow flick online every 5 seconds is a joke. It pisses me right off! Also the lack of the advantage rule, some horrendous tackles and obstructions often go unnoticed or unfairly punished by the referee.

Those rainbow flicks are pretty hard to stop aren't they!

I refuse to use them myself though, how often have you seen one been done in a real game...?

thats my point exactly. They are almost impossible to defend, which is why I don't do them because it's practically a cheat. I've had a lot of red cards from trying to prevent them.

They are impossible to stop if timed well the first time but if they use them all the time then they can be anticipated by moving your defender back instead of trying to tackle.

They can become predictable if used too much!

MLO is full of cheats though. Thank god Konami put a stop to own goal cheats in tournaments!

1. calling every single foul forcing you to watch a 10yr old crappy animation and a replay...

2. getting flagged for offside even if you dont touch the ball

3. defenders swarm like bees on striker leaving wings open

4. making a through pass then the ball hits player at his back heel...

5. a.i. defenders clearing the ball to the outside even though theres room to pass around and make a counter attack

6. calling offsides and fouls instead of playing the advantage allowing defence to set...

exactly! thats one of the easiest sneaky moves you can do that can lead to a goal and they removed it.. tsk tsk...

2. getting flagged for offside even if you dont touch the ball

This one really annoys me, I mean someone really should explain the offside rule to Konami. Ive had two perfectly good goals ruled out this week cause Konami don't recognise different phases of play and how offsides are observed. In Konamis world Thierry Henry would have been screwed, he made a career out of bending the offside rule!

I dont really see whats wrong with the offside rule apart from anoying late calls by the refs.
You dont have to touch the ball for it to be offside and it would be very complicated for the AI to decide when someone is "interfering in play", so they have implimented it as if you are standing offside you are offside. Dont see the problem. Might just be me though.
