What's best difficulty for BAL mode?

I'm in my second season as a striker on professional difficulty and i'm struggling to score even though i play nearly every game.

I made a mistake by making my legend 83kg, like me. How embarassing, is this why he's got no acceleration?

Also, my team mates (Anderlecht) are utterly useless at creating chances - any better in easier/harder modes?

I'd start a new BAL but it takes forever to setup leagues and then all those training games.

Thanks!!!

y would I want to make it more difficult and make it harder to develop my player? I keep mine on normal difficulty...

does playing on top player make your guy develop faster?

I jumped into BAL as soon as pes2009 finished installing on my PC, so I started with the amateur difficulty (2/5) for the first season and changed to regular (3/5) in the second season. Plan is to improve my player's stats first until it's able to cope with Professional and Top Player.

I don't think there's any incentive to play on higher difficulty level so yeah just stick to what you're comfortable with. I remember in the past they used to give more exp points if you play the Master League in higher difficulty level, but not anymore I suppose.

top player

even then the AI of your team is shite beyond belief, but at least they can string a few passes together

Anything else than professional or top player, and you're going to score 50 goals every season by the time you're 19. It will become extremely boring after that. The point of BAL is to BECOME a legend, not to start as one. I'm in my 7th season on top player, and I scored 37 in 39 games last year, at the age of still only 23, so top player ain't that difficult either if you get better attributes as you develop.

On the other hand, there will be games on top player which you simply can not win. I tested it once, I lost a game, saved it to a different slot so that I could continue from there, and then reloaded the same game about 15 times in a row to test it. (By the way we were 3rd in the league at that point with only 2 losses in 19 rounds. This game - we've lost every time. All the other match results in that round ended the same way too every time. Manchester United lost to Aston Villa, and Arsenal lost to Chelsea EVERY single time, only the scoreline was different. It's definitely scripted, if you score, they will score more, that's how it goes. I have no idea why did they implement such nonsense, but "it's in the game".

Ive had tried that once was palying Betis vs Milan on Top player had a freind over so i let him play and didnt save
First game w drew 0-0 next game i played we won 1-0 in injury time
Also you can't possibly be playing the same way every game so myabe it's just a coinsidence or a bug.

TOP Player is the way to go furstrating as hell for starters but ur first goal tastes all the more sweeter:)

Professional. Your team-mates always play on Professional level no matter what level you choose. It seems the fairest so to play on that level.

Edit: Since writing this, I changed to Top Player and my guys are playing much better. I guess I was led to believe my previous statement as being correct!

top player is one of the easier difficulty's, cause teammates actually have intelligence, they actually pass to you and hold the ball better, in the average difficulty players don't make the right choices and are crap in possesion, plus the opposition mindlessly chase you down before you have time to use your brain, top player forces you to be intelligent with your play so the games are less scrappy and random.

And btw ive played BAL on all difficulties for atleast 1 season, so i suggest you play on top player

Yea Top Player is difficult and frustrating but it's more rewarding when you achieve something, you also get the best out of your player by not being lazy
