My god that 1st team is just stupid the amount of stars in that team. How have you got them? bought them? unless you started with Arsenal or Barca Henry, Ronaldinho & Rio would all be old. But you started with Chelsea which makes me think you had these guys from the start, Plus you must have been going a while as non of these guys would join you till you were ranked number 1 which takes a good few seasons.

My brother and I started this team with the original master league players. Our promotion campaing was tough, but we snuck by with a 2nd place league finish and a cup title.
Our second season we picked up a few key players, but our struggles increased. We lucked out with a real easy draw in the FA Cup. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all ended up on the far side of the table. We decided to focus our efforts on winning the FA Cup and try to force draws in the league. The strategy worked and we won the cup with a 1-0 win over Chelsea in the finals and actually ended up eaking out 6th in the final tables due to our massive number of draws and our solid defense.
This 2009 season we picked up a few solid players and were able to finally weed out some of the underperformers from the past seasons. We are currently 6th in the League Table, 2nd in the Champions League Qualifying Group League, and looking at Everton for our first Cup tie.

I always get to this stage where i am happy with my team. I get by - winning some drawing many and loing a few. The mistake i always make is to get to a transfer window and buy 4 or 5 good players and then i start winning every game. Which i hate doing. I will always try to win but i dont like winning every game. I like finishing 4th or 5th and maybe one season i might come second or scrape first.

This is a nice team. BTW why is Ivarov so damn good? He is way better than Solimar who is rated way higher.
Thanks. Dunno - Ivanov is just class. I had buffon but he made everything look to easy. Ivanov lets some in, makes awful errors and tips alot of shots onto the bar/post - much more exciting. He does save a lot too though.

I am a huge Juventus fan, so I always play with Buffon. To be honest I don't think it matters how good the players are. If you are a mid-table team the players will over-achieve. If you are at the top, they CPU does whatever they can to make the Championship race close. It is lame. So, for me, to this point, Ivarov has been superior. He makes some big time saves for me.
Yeah i am a big Juve fan too. I just got a juve nedved shirt. I agree with you about what the cpu does though. I needed a win and i was playing blackburn. I battered them without reward for 82mins then they scored 2 in the last 8 mins. Now they are top. And my league has Chelsea, AC Milan, Barca etc!

Of course the're doing fine, its an established team, no real point (or sense of achievement) playing master league with a team like Utd, Inter, Barca, Arsenal etc.
In the 'League' mode you can create a league of your own choosing, pick Utd and play a half or full season, with no management / team building related distractions. If that's your idea of fun like.
I think i'm in season 7 or something.
