I'm a bit of an Adriano fan, but when playing fantasy games and am picking who I want, I can never decide whether to put him in as the highest forward, or forgo a touch of aerial prowess for speed and agility, ie Sheva.
If I'm playing for kicks, not some sort of comp, then I usually play 3-4-3 as you can have more fun with three. When I play seriously I always play two, to keep it tighter and a great two can synergise far better than any three.
I like to choose from Sheva, Henry (although not so much now, his sheer all round brilliance makes it a touch like using a crane to crush a fly), Owen, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Adriano and Rooney. When you're playing for kicks they're all so good and mostly interchangeable that it makes it simple to weave beautiful passages of play.
For a serious game I always like to play an all rounder with pace with someone whose main asset is their heading and balance, coupled with the necessary speed, shot acc and dribb. My favourite two to play are probably either Owen or Shevchenko with Adriano - if only someone would get the latter together in reality, they do seem made for each other.
The way Adriano scores with headers makes it seem like the simplest thing in the world, and his foot is a lovely weapon...if only LFC were still top of the tree, Mikey might've stayed then to partner him. COME BACK MIKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
