Yeah Shearers stats aren't fantastic but he is a good striker and header of the ball, he needs pace and a good passer alongside him for best effect though. Unfortunately he doesn't fit into my style of play for my ML team but I always play him and adapt to the target man style when I pick the toon.

Try Morientes and Baros. Morientes with a chip through ball and Baros runs on to it and volleys it... straight at the keeper.

im only on my first season and i play a 3-4-3 so my best partner ship is routledge on the left wing baumjohan on the right wing and rooney in the centre

Have Been Playin With Van Persie And Martins. Martins For The Pace....he Cannot Be Caught And Van Persies Cos He's Just A Legend They Constantly Top The Leading Scorers Chart.
Does Anyone Use Any Of The Original Players. I've Still Got Macco And I Always Keep Njorgo Cos He Always Seems To Bang Em In For Me. Eddingson Is Also Pretty Reliable.

On Pro Evo 3 ML its got to be Denpo (Senegal) and Louis Saha (France) . Been hammering opposition goals since i got these two and i play Jay Jay Okocha just behind these two , not to mention Denpo is right footed and Saha left footed so that adds to the attacking impetus .

I have yet to get my hands on PES4/WE8 (WE8 for me, I am in the US), but my best combo up front in WE7 is Shev. and Crespo. Both can score, but also dish the ball off.

For perfect strike partnership you need two different type of players.
Not two fast, or two strong players - > you need one of each.

Here are few quite effective and proven partnerships ( I'm playing at 6* stars for some time on PC and PS2 ):

Adriano - Saviola
v. Nistelrooy - Owen
Vieri - D.Cisse
Trezeguet - Henry

Ronaldo (Real Madrid) and Pele

Pablo Aimar plays in the hole behind the two strikers.

They worked for me at Crystal Palace.

Also, Andrew Johnson can work with anyone. In the masterleague who improves so much its unbelievable.

But based on pace, its the Brazilians.

Based on finishing it has to be Antonio Cassano and probably Javier Saviola.

Theres so many.
