What's your strategy when leading?

I wonder what others do out there when they're up 2 goals or more.

This has been a bad week for me. Beginning of the week i started with 576 points and now i'm down to 545. There are 2-3 games that i know i lost it (damn Real) but others are because i kept getting DRAW ( i had 8 draws this week and it feels like a lost because i get my point reduced all the time)

what do you guys do when you are up?
I used 3-4-3 formation (3 CBs)+ (2 SMFs, 2 CMFs) + (2 SS, 1 CF)
My formation is double edge. It's great for attacking but back on defense could be pain.

I like to keep it fair and try play the same way throughout the game but sometimes i wonder if i should just switch my formation and strategy to defensive (5-4-1) and waste the time *sigh*
I had one guy did that to me and i was frustrated which lead me not to do that cheapo.

I stick always with 4-5-1 (Valencia CF)

Defense
2 CBs, 1 RB 1 LB(defensive)

Midfield
1 DMF (defensive)
1MF (equilibrated)
1 LMF (attacker)
1RMF (attacker)
1 SS (Attack)

Forward
1 FS (Attack)

When I'm winning I set my attackers to be "neutral" (sorry my game is in spanish) so they help more in midfield.

I only have real problems against Real, Barcelona or Brasil, other teams are always tight games.

cheap wins are also wins arent they? if you switch back to for instance 4-3-3 than its not very defensive but a bit more secure thatn 3-4-3.. i think thats nothing to be ashamed of..

If Im up 2-0, I keep attacking and shoving it down their throat!! NO MERCY!
My goal is to make them quit before the game ends LOL!

I suppose so,
3-4-3 midfielders doesn't cover much to the back. So yea, i guess i'll just substitute my CMF for SB after I have decent lead.

The one game that made me hate the strategy was against this guy from Brazil (he used Brazil also). he was up by 2 goals and i kept on pushing and attacking him thus i got a goal just before half time. So on the 2nd half, he switched his formation and do lots of backpassing:realmad: I dont mind if its too spread the field but it was to waste time (he had alves + marcelo work the wonder)

The thing about my formation is that it's really Fragile after corner kick. It's an instant 3 on 3 for their attacker against my defender.

I was winning by 3 goals(game 1) and 2 goals (game 2) against the same person and he managed to get back to me on counter attacks with Ronaldo-Kaka alone. It's more heartbreaking that he got the tying goal on INjury time

take short corners and or set your setting to counter attack or all out defense when taking them if you're up so that your team doesnt all come in the box and they mostly stay back in formation, doing this will give you just your attackers in the box on the corner and protect you from the counter attack! ESPECIALLY WHEN PLAYING AGAINST REAL!! What you're doing now is SUICIDE !!! LOL

i just keep my formation the way it is throughout the match, i either choose man utd (4-4-2), arsenal(4-3-3), ac milan(4-3-3), england(4-3-3), spain(4-4-2) or australia(4-4-2). for me, my strategy is always having atleast 3 CBs in defence, it saves myself from being counter attacked, i find full backs coming up to attack only exposes your defence to counter attack and the good teams will usually punish you. i guess if you're leading, then replace your full backs with CB.
