it is really disapointing that konami (lazy fckers) will not include transfers that took place after august in PES 09 and i know it can be edited but the main problem is online.Does anyone know when Konami will release new rosters for the teams to have upto date squads to play online with?

thanks

Once again, Konami weren't lazy about it, EA have an exclusive deal signed that prevents any other football game(not management) from including transfers completed after a certain date in August.

When people say that an update will be released to remedy the problem, is that just hopeful speculation or a concrete statement?

I don't even see how EA can even seal such a deal. It's outrageous!

Konami are gonna' lose so many buyers of the game through the lack of transfers alone!

I for one still needs to see evidence of such a deal made by EA, the link posted the other day was merely a guy saying such a deal exists. But it doesn't make sense to me.

It's not even minor transfers! The biggest of the summer were made after the 1st August.

Not only that, but the squads in general are too thin. Gudjohnsen is not in the Barca squad, yet he has played a few important roles so far this season.

Konami's researchers suck so much!

personally i think that is mince!!! how can EA enforce this when there is so many different associations dealing with the registration of transfers to and fro all these different countries, unless EA have signed a deal with FIFA themselves which prevents Konami using any transfers that took place after a certian date, why you woukd want to go to this much hassle is beyond me !!!:eek:hmy::eek:hmy:

It is no hassle at all, since EA make the official game of Fifa. They just pick a date in which other games can't include transfers past, Fifa enforce it on PES each year as PES do have FIFpro and Fifa's license permission for player names etc it's all the little technicalities that EA enjoy being the rich arses they are.

As for the actual transfers being licensed here's how it all went down. Sepp Blatter, Seabass, and some guy from EA were all chillaxin at FIFA heardquarters.

EA: We'll give you $1 million for every transfer that occurs during the summer if you prevent those Konami bastards from updating their game.
Blatter: You gonna top that fish boy?
Seabass: All you can eat sushi plus a free copy of Pes 2009 for the PS2.
Blatter: For that price I'll let you do an online update in January.
Seabass: Deal. I'll just let those WENB guys take care of the summer transfers like they do every year.
EA: We'll give you $1 million for every winter transfer if you prevent him from doing winter transfer updates. We'll be nice and let him do the summer transfers in January though.
Blatter: Deal.
Seabass: Damn why does this happen every year? Oh well you guys wanna play some Pes or what?
EA: Wow this game is really fun. We'll give you $1 million if you tell me how you made it so responsive.

Thats why. How do I know this? I happened to be at FIFA headquarters that very day, running an errand for the Canadian national soccer team, and overheard their conversation. Don't bother asking me what kind of errand as I'd love to tell you but it's classified information :ninja:

p.s. I watched a bit of their pes match and Seabass really sux. If I had time I woulda went in there and showed him how it's done ;)
Blatter was quite decent though.
