Where do I place maradona in a 4-4-2 formation?

I am debating myself on where to place maradona on my formation. In my master league, I am on my 4th year, and my formation looks something like this.

---------------Tie Men(created goalie)----------
---------------------------Chivu----------------
---------------Puyol----------------------------
--Lahm--------------------------------Mathieu--
------------------------Cesc Fabregas----------
-------------Iniesta----------------------------
-----Alan Ball(Blowm)--------------Kaka'--------
------------Maradona--------------------------
-----------------------Fernando Torres---------

Now, for my 2 forwards, I decide to put maradona on the right side so he'd shoot easier with his left foot, but i notice sometimes he kept doing the rabona, kinda defeats the purpose. If I put him on the left side, he seems to score less, but assist more. Which one is better?

Try change sides as 1 of ur strategies and mix it up during matches. Or try playing him in a central role, directly behind Torres but give them a lot of space apart, move Iniesta back, Ball and Kaka wider to give Maradona more freedom to work his magic.

In 442 I'd say put him right , with torres as ss behind him on the left, but because Torres is a real CF, you can put him cf (left or right, depends on your style) and use Maradonna as ss, you should be able to get Maradonna in a shooting position by fooling a defender, or when giving a through pass, lay the ball off to Torres

Hmm, hope you understand this messy post :S

How does the change side strategy work?

Whenever activated all your forwards (AMF and above) will switch sides. This way u can have Maradona playing on both sides during a match without going into subs menu. I still think he's better in a central role with lots of freedom (the Zidane role but SS instead of AMF), as he has the skill and pace to beat a few defenders on his own, he'll have more options to pass to, he'll free up Ball and Kaka which will make them play better, and he has middle shooting to shoot from distance.

Maradonna is a true number 10 tho and plays in the hole behind the strikers. You may wanna drop Kaka/Ball and play another striker. Sit the other ATM slightly deeper the Maradona, but try to give Maradona enough space.

Central role seems okay, But I like having Kaka winning top assist award...

Maradona is already becoming worse at such a young age...I'm desperately trying to find a Maradona replacement, So I am sort of training Kaka (edited in my game, because he is my favorite player) or rooeny to replace that role.

Definitely get Rooney if u don't need Maradona. Rooney developes just as good, more consistent, and I'm not sure about Maradona's peak, but Rooney peaks at 25 and lasts til 30. Since u have classic players, y not just go for Pele or Cruyff.
