I'm interested in checking out this game, but I will need more info before throwing more cash at Seabass. I've been keeping tabs on it because it could potentially be finally a great PES/Winning Eleven going out under the radar. It seems like it could be an unofficial World Cup version of Winning Eleven. Where did you hear the release date is 30th April? The only official info I've seen on it so far is this very vague post on the Konami Blog, saying it is being released "this Spring", and that in this game you can become a player in the Japanese national squad.

One of the things I would like to know is is it still possible to play it as normal, without having to play as a player in the Japanese team, or as Japan. Logically it would be, but the PES developers aren't renowned for their logic when it comes to wrecking our heads! Do you have any other info? There's a thread on it at Winningelevenblog.com, but again info is very scant. Yes, this game could potentially be a very interesting development

From what little info there is from the official blog statement, it would seem like it's going to be only released in Japan. Of course it will be possible to buy it and import it, for PS3 anyway. The little info available about the game is that it seems very Japanese orientated, you can play as a player in the Japan national team, officially licensed by the Japanese FA, featuring the biggest names in Japanese soccer.
The first thing I would like to know is is it possible to play a World Cup as say, Brazil, or any other team, or are you confined to playing as Japan. If so, then I would be very interested in checking this game out more

We could create Japan acounts and download the demo. On 360 anyway...

You have Xbox 360? :( I don't think it's being released on Xbox. I have Winning Eleven 2010 for PS3, I don't think that was released for Xbox either. Maybe because in Japan nearly everyone would have a PS3 (Sony) instead of Xbox.
I have a Japanese account on my PS3, so I can get a demo if they release one, that would be a good way of checking it out. I've been checking, but no demo yet. Scroll down to the bottom of this link for info on console platforms it's being released on:

From the details listed by Konami, there will be no improvements to the game whatsover. Just another twist to their Winning Eleven series that sold 50 million copies worldwide. This is a version edited for the Jap market.

Would I buy another PES/Winning Eleven 2010 game. ..Hell fuckin No...:realmad:

At the moment I'm just interested in keeping tabs on this game. I won't be rushing to buy it, unless it is much improved on PES/WE 2010. It will be released 6 months after those games, so I would be hoping that the gameplay has been refined and enhanced, some where along the line to PES 2011. Logically that's what should be expected, but this is Seabass and co, so logic goes out the window. So at the moment I'm more interested in hearing news of how this game plays, and if it has the usual game modes, other than playing as Japan.
It should be a step forward from PES/WE 2010, in which case it would be an interesting development, but I've been disappointed with every current gen release so far, so I'm not banking on it being a return to PES glory. Keeping an eye on it more in hope really
