Half the top 100 cheat. I have a few friends who are top 100 though.
I played someone on pes5 who was ranked 3rd in the world. His name was 'ztan' or something like that. He picked brazil so I did too. I won 2-1. But considering he was 3rd in the world he didnt take losing very well. + he had allot of games and picks brazil all the time. Pes5 ranking system was stupid. Whoever had the most games was prob best in the world. Pes6 is better in that regard.

To be honest I don't think there will ever be a certain 'best in the world'. I mean everybody is either in good form or in bad form. Pick different teams, etc. Sort of like real-life I guess. Ronaldinho looks good with Deco, Messi, ect'o around him etc. People were saying that kaka was the best in the world a few weeks ago cause ronaldino was out of form.

Has anyone played someone in the top 10 who gave a good fair game (and a football lesson probabley)

Yeah but I cant remember who they were. I know they supported Birmingham and they are on my pes5 friends list. Really good player. I actually beat him as well and ran him close hence why he bothered to add me.

PES6 rankings are strange (but good). I still dont understand them. I havent played many games, and im about a 55% player, but my rating is 642 and im in the top 2000 ppl. I will move up with more games but why am i ranker higer than someone who has played more games and has won more by %. I dont get it! It must be fair, but i dont understand it.

Can anyone explain? thanks.

its to do with rating.
Is you lose rating goes down allot.
if you win it goes up (depending on the rating of the guy you played)
i'm aboput 660. At my peak I was in the 700s.

ok, so basically, if i beat a player with a much higher rating than me - i will go up a lot. If i lose to a player with much worse rating, i will go down a lot and if i lose to a player that is similar raknking, the damage is not so bad.

Makes sense.

I agree that a alot of the top 100 do cheat. I think i am currently about top 500, but just because i have good stats, people say i cheat. My rating is around 704 and my percentage is about 77.4. I always go for a good percentage and a good rating. I do not have many 'points' because i do not enter competitions cause i always have bad experiences with lag and i dont like 5 minate games. In one game last night i went 4-0 up in the first half and i wondered why i was whipping this guy so much. He accused me of lag (not knowing about the hosting thing, and that it was noi my turn for lag) and the second half lag was awful. I just moved about hammering square (this always works in hideous lag) and i think i conceeded 2 but won 4-2. I hate winning or losing because of lag and will only play 3 bar people. You cant choiose in competitions, so i simply dont enter them.

There are just a few idiots online (chapper, for example) that call people cheats just cause they appear to be good.

The reason i win so many, is that i DO NOT use the cutback. People seem to over-cover the cutback goal, i put a double circle or single circle ball in and there is trezeguet to head it in.

I've been around 726, but one bad week and I'm down again to 520. Just goes to show you how ugly a losing streak can be :)

I don't take the ranking that seriously do. Most of the top players are cheats anyway. They mostly have a superteam with shitty teams like Sedan, Sao Paulo or Excelsior or whatever, if they're still losing they put a big upload on and win anywa, and usually they quit before the match if you have a good win % and have played many games. They're too scared for "good" players

I was pretty good at PES 4, still had a long way to go to get into top 100, but then i only played bout 10 games a week tops. all the guys near the top were playing like 100 games in a day. Unfortunately i have a life and job etc so i couldn't catch up with those guys ;) I had like the 3rd best win/loss ratio tho(550 wins, 20 draws, 28 losses. :) Never lost to randoms, only lost to my mates, that's cos i tend to talk to them too much and fuck about. As for PES 6, its only form that counts, PES 5... well i never really played that much but i found the online side of things a lil irritating.
