Why always Real or Barca?

I have different experience - people playing Real or Barca are mostly so readable that I can beat them even with weaker teams (i play mostly for Schalke). On the other hand - people playing similar teams are usually harder to defeat, because they know to play better - even with worser teams. Only weak players choose always Barca/Madrid.
One advice - learn how to defend through balls - these people mostly play these
Second advice - try to keep possesion, they are getting nervous, when they do not have ball

i am with you on that !! keep possession but there is always a bad side for it .. if you have tough luck one of those through passes will go through .. imagine whenever he takes a ball he just presses triangle .. sometime there is not much time to actually try to take a defender and mark the opponent .. its just so automatic that it is extra annoying .. especially in the 5 min matches .. i`ve played with a real fanboy who had 5 defenders, 2 defensive midfielders and ronaldo next to my goalkeeper .. winning is good but do they feel happy when they win playing shit !!
Actually i play 4-2-3-1 like someone wrote here before and for me it works. As u say, they are trying all the same - press Y (sometimes L1+Y). All u need is to press A (pass) before the ball goes to your defender and you should be fine.
Anyway, I agree with people here that is annoying as I also do not see fun winning like that. But I like challenge, so I am happy to play against stronger teams (ranking is not so important for me)

I've had it with online ranking matches and MlO. I bought this game to enjoy matches not just to concede from cheap through balls. I'm going to concentrate on friendly matches where people seem more concerned with having a decent match than picking the best teams and spamming the triangle button.
i dont want to sound like im shamelessly promoting this league but i guess i am lol. but this is one of the reasons i wanted to convince the guys to bring Pro Evo Network back (the biggest pes leagues during the ps2 days) i was able to do that and they even put me in charge of running it which i agreed to do as im passionate about pes 
if you are sick and tired of playing vs Barca and Madrid or cheap style of play then the league really is for you, Im just a pes fan trying to help bring the glory days back and i believe this is the best pes yet, when playing like minded pes fans who like to play fair fun football.
we have 60 league members but 2 of those need replacing and we dont have anyone on the waiting lists at the moment. I want to try and build on those numbers so we have a huge community where all us pes enthusiasts can enjoy the game without having to worry about cheats and the like.

This game is fucking shit... I hope to God someone sticks the disc of this game up the producers ass... time and time again people do the same fucking shit and when I challenge the pricks that made this (on facebook)... they have no answers and give stupid fucking reasons. Online is a JOKE... I choose Arsenal ALL the time and have to always put in alot of effort in whilst people can just do a through ball over the top that will go to him... it's distressing, it's shit, it's over exaggeratted... And these Ronaldo cock sucking... ass licking producers can stick it!

Maybe you don't know how to play. What's wrong with Barca and Madrid? They are the 2 best teams and everyone will pick them.
Picking Barca/Real and spamming through balls is not to know how to play the game.
Just played a game. Was going for Roma, but he choose Real ( of course) so i picked Barca and yes, i felt ashamed actually. So the game went on and omg did he spam that through ball button. Got so tired of him that i pulled all my players back and had only Messi on top an started spamming as well.
Did i win the game? Yes
Was it a fun and well played game? No
Btw, he was ranked 7xx and im at 4xx and he couldn´ t play at all. Maybe he only had that button with a triangle on his controller, the other ones were surely missing. In that case i dont blame him :tongue:
I don't understand how can so much people play with only 4 teams I myself use Juventus. Last night i played 10 matches, and about 9 of them were Real Madrid and one was against Barca, with a record of 7 wins 2 draws and 1 lose and the players I played against are mostly rated like me about 600. That one lose I was better in every way but as soon as opponent got the ball he just cleared it out and maked a chance from wich he scored. I wonder how can they play like, with trough balls and everything, that I actually asked a few of them but they are probably ashemed since no one answerd me.

That is not true at all. I play this game to win and i will choose whatever team fits my style and gives me the win. Only losers will pick other teams because they will make up the excuse that they play "fairly".
You sound like a very bad player to be at 400. I don't think there is a "playing fair" percentage in the game stats or a "fun" percentage. There is only winning percentage. The stats will only show your W, D, and L. They won't show how good you played at all. That's the difference between that guy ranked 700 and you ranked 400.
Juventus is a very basic and useless team to play with. On the other hand, i consider myself very, very good and it would be too easy for me to judge since i can only see competition with players 800+ and that clearly wouldn't be you.

Really? Because the last time I played PES properly (2011), I managed to get by perfectly fine by picking the lesser teams. There are lesser teams with similar styles you know.
Obviously you don't like a challenge. That's why you have to pick the best teams all the time. It's as plane and simple as that. There's no debate.
If you think you're good enough, try using a shit team like Reading and see how you do then.
Actually haven´t played PES since PES 5, but played a lot in the 90´s - 04. Been playing Fifa these last years and tried out the demo of this game against some friends and i did really enjoy it. Felt much moore of an footie simulator than Fifa. Well was i dissapointed when going online. First i was fine with people only choosing Real and Barca, but after a while i understood why everyone picked these teams; constant spamming through balls to Ronaldo and Benzema with midfielders, defenders even with the goalkeeper no matter what they keep pressing that through ball button. If people like this kind of gameplay why not just play pong.
Was about to give up on this game, but tried to turn of all aimbot (Pass Support) and find players with similar level and WOW! Amazing games, so much fun (what video games is all about) and a great feeling to have respect for every opponent and not just feel frustrated with that aimbot spamming. Finally playing this way i got what i paid for: Pro evolution soccer 2013 and not Through balls 2013: Barcelona and Real Madrid edition.
Rating doesn't mean too much for me since I've seen players under 500 who play better than player's with rating 800+. If you are truly good as you say than try playing with what you say a basic and useless team than look at your stats from about 10-20 matches.

A challenge? I play against some of the very best players in this game and it is no walk in the park. Even if you picked Madrid or Barca, you wouldn't still make it to 800 or 900. You actually need to know how to play and that "through ball" style is all you are going to see before the goal. Why do you think i don't complain about the through ball? I know how to deal with it and do the necessary things to nullify it.
If you just play this game to play 0 pass support, you are better off playing offline. I play this game to get to number 1. You are probably 200-300 rating, right?
You haven't seen me play then. I only play with teams that match my style.

Holland is a great team. They've got great passers like Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, even Van Bommel. Pace in Robben and probably the most deadliest finisher in the game Van Persie, if you get the ball to him in the penalty area it's almost a guaranteed goal.
