post why your gettin one/both this year.
reason for me: fifa came close this year, but no cigar, pes is still the one, atleast for another year...

I'll get both because from time to time, I always like to play a different football game and fifa is pretty good this year. But Pes is still the king.

For the first time since 1998 I'll be buying Fifa. I've already pre-ordered pes so will get that aswell. Will play both for a while then sell one. Very close this year, I'm big fan of pes but will go with what ever give me the best and most fun game of football. Think it will still be Pes but will have to wait and see. If it's not at least I'll have all the licences with Fifa. It wasn't until I read the comments about Pes's online being substandard this year that I even contemplated it.

I think I'm getting both:

FIFA - it looks so much better than last year's version; the custom tactics, 10 vs 10 online etc
PES - can't think of any.

I may not get PES if the online is region locked though, especially if my local store import the US version because I want to play online with members of PESGaming, which most of them are in Europe.

I have bought fifa 09 allready this year, but i am getting pes also. Fifa is very good, but when the bugs start to kick in it really spoils the fun.

Got both last year and although fifa online was fun for a while it still didnt come close in gameplay even to a broken pes 08 and was left collecting dust after the A.I in fifa online started to annoy

So this year i'm going to save my hard earned cash dont give in to fifa's nice looking graphics and wait for pes 2009

Getting pro evo played the fifa demo and it's easily the best fifa i've ever played but then when pes demo came out started playing that and then played fifa to compare and fifa gave me a headache the players seemed so fast after playing pro evo so dont know wouldnt mind getting both of them, if pes's online isnt great then maybe i'll get fifa as well, but definitely getting pes

I've already got FIFA 09 and I'm glad I got it, it's a brilliant game, and I'm enjoying playing the different modes.

I'll probably get PES 2009 in November sometime, and I'll be getting it because I've owned every version to date, due to the fact that it's brilliant to play on, and have two player leagues on.
