Why do all players run at the same speed?

This doesn't happen when playing a human player (or at least nowhere near as much if it does decide to cheat)

In master league it's rife. I nearly uninstalled it the other day but after playing real people on vs mode it's restored my confidence.

Fifa will always be boring and will hide behind licenses and animation. It has no character and literally makes me bored to tears. The only one in recent years that was any good was fifa10 when pro evo 10 was a completely broken game.

Personally, I'm ecstatic that the game no longer revolves around speed.

If you want to use those ridiculous speed merchant's then you have to learn the nuances of dribbling all over again to capitalise.

Summed up perfectly - the game asks you to break down the defence through skill rather than running faster.

I also think that the benefit of faster players is reduced because the opposition sits deeper in this version.

I hate the dribbling in this year's version. This is just like the jump from PES 2009 to 2010.

What's the point of having Messi and Robben if you can't blast past players like in real life?

I was really looking forward to playing as the Brazilian Ronaldo but you can't replicate his playing style with these game mechanics.

The dribbling in PES 2012 was just perfect, it wasn't too easy like it was in 2008 and 2009 and not too hard.

It takes a bit more effort, and you need to slow down once in a while to keep defenders on tip-toe, then blast past them at the right moment. But I agree that dribbling was quite good in PES2012, so I'd prefer it more like that but with Speed Merchant card like 2013 (much weaker than in 2012).

I feel 2013 although realistic is turning more into FIFA where there is no chance of individual flare and dribbling past opponents. 2012 had the best balance between realism and fun.

I'm thinking of going back to 2012 or just play on +2 where I feel it feels more like pes than fifa.

This is too much of a change for me, my online ranking was always around 550 - 580 in PES 2012 now it's bloody 387!

The dreaded catch up bug. It really is infuriating, I've had slow defenders on Olympiakos catch up with Neymar as I was dribbling in the box. This is my biggest gripe about the game. Players speed stats are rendered irrelevant for the most part.

The catch up bug is only noticeable in Superstar mode, it seems. Some guys told me in other forum that when playing Top Player, the bug was gone and they were able to destroy defences using pacy guys like Walcott or CR7.

It's yet, another stupidity from KONAMI of course.
