wifi online problem

hey people
today i played resistance online wiv sum friends
then i wanted to play PES2008 so i put the CD in
i played 2 people then on my last match i lost 3-2 to chelsea (i was ACMilan) after terrible laggin

i found another guy and as we were playing the little green box in the middle at the top of the screen showed a red dash then disconnected
i then went and made a room and searched

i found one guy and went to play him he disconnected while the match was loading and then the ps3 said an error has occured you have been signed off in a grey rectangle at the top right corner on the screen

the ps3 was still lookin for another guy to play so i pressed the PS button and quit the game
i checked the network status and i was on 95% (wifi)

then i go to sign in again and the ps3 said:
An error has occured during communication with the server
This is a DNS error
(80710102)
this happens rarely not all the time but still happens sometimes

1.What does this mean?
2.What does DNS mean?
3.Why does it happen rarely?
4.What does the green box do?
5.What are the numbers beside it?

im new to online
please help me

u can research ur DNS error on Google.

seems to me like you may have a had a strong WiFi connection, however your bandwith was being maxed out by some other source.

if you have a computer running, someone could have been doing a video chat or downloading something which eats a lot of bandwith.

it's best to turn of anything else that uses internet while playing online.

i hope you have forwarded the right ports too to optimize bandwith allocation

and how can i find non cheaters or someone to play against who has a good connection?

ok for u my pes doesn't work at all online! something about NAT type, i looked how 2 fix it but its way too complicated for a computer-phobe like me
