I know threads have been made on this, and they've just been spammed with "Nintendo r poo LOL!!1", so no idiots. I want to know how many of you will actually be getting the Revolution, or at least giving it a chance and thinking about it. Because all we get here is "PS3 vs XBox 360" and no-one even gives Nintendo a chance. Why aren't Nintendo being given a chance, they're the only ones who have exclusive and first party games? And please no "Mario is childish", I know he maybe childish, but what about the likes of Metroid, Zelda and exclusives like Resident Evil. Most people judge these games from their looks without actually playing them, and for those of you who haven't played Mario, Metroid, Zelda etc. they're all pretty tough games.

So in this thread, I'd like unbiased comments on why you will or why you won't be purchasing the Revolution or just any other comments on it.

Me and nintendo have never got on I dont hate nintendo it just seems to me that they have allways been behind. There have been exceptions like rouge sqadren and the now famous resident evil4 which is porting to ps2 this oct.I dont think with games like halo 3 and the new gta on the next gens that nintendo will be able to keep up.

I am not going to bother because i will get a PS3 and if i dont get that i would get a XBox 360 so the Nintendo Revolution is my third choice out of the new consoles.

I'm the same, although I'll almost definitely get the Ps3 anyway.

Nitendo don't suck! They are one of the best gaming consoles. They are always coming up with small, innovative, and compact devices.

I'm certainly will buy the new generation console. But only after buying PS3 and XBox360. I'm set to buy the XBox 360 went it hit shores in the USA.

I have to say, the prices on new gaming consoles, no matter who the producers are, are way too pricey. I'm estimating the Nitendo Revolution will be around $300-$400.

Yep, Microsoft got busy, while Sony is still toying around with the PSP.

I really hope the "Revolution" has backwards capabilities. Maybe they will have the ability to play old games for a change. Every new Nitendo console means new equipment and new games to buy.

When I bought the PS2 when it first came out $300. I didn't have any money to buy a damn game. But the great thing was I could play my PS1 games and use my PS1 controll. Oh yeah, I could use the PS1 Memory card too. Backwards capabilities rock! Until you have enough money to buy a new game.

yeah i remember the days when Mega-Drives cost around $100AUS...(roughly $50 US)....and i thought that was pricey and then when the PS2 was first launched it cost like $800AUS....i was blown away by the price and realised every new console they're producing it bigger better and more shinier than the predeccessor....

I has the NES which was amazing, I had the SNES which was also amazing, I had the 64 which was good... then Sony grabbed me.

For me Nintendo was always better in its hey day. Mario etc etc

Too right... The NES is legendary, and the SNES also. The 64 was half decent, Sega was ok for a while, then along came the Dreamcast... pure balls! Playstation 2 is arguably the best console, ever (so far)

Original?

You people have no idea, the dreamcast was a decent console the only trouble it had was a dicey controller and poor marketing. The Gamecube is actually a fantastic console and the pad is great, the problem with it for me is that too few developers will produce games for it. Graphically speaking however it is actually more powerful then other console out on the market at the moment, that's right more powerful than the Xbox.

I shan't be purchasing a revolution though because Nintendo screw over Europe with ridiculous waiting times for games, and the games are generally over-priced, although the consoles tend to be a bit cheaper.
