Windows 7 - Online "UDP Port" Problem

Dear Beloved Community,

I happen to be a dedicated PES 2010 online player, but ever since I installed Windows 7 Ultimate (Previously XP) i wasn't able to play online anymore.

When i try to play online (Or use the Konami PES 2010 port checker) - it tells me that my UDP ports are blocked, and that I should either enable UPnP, allow ports through my firewall, or check my connection or the server status.

Knowing I'm connected directly to the modem (No router), that sorta surprised me.

First, I thought it was an anti-virus issue (Norton), which i then uninstalled to no good use. Then, i tried completely disabling my firewall, yet to no avail. Manually adding port 5379 (And all remote UDP/TCP ports) didn't work either.

Playing around with my Network/Adapter settings didn't help; I'm usually okay at solving these issues on my own, but I'm beginning to think this issue is much greater than myself, maybe something to do with windows 7?

And yes, before you ask, I allowed PES to run via Windows Firewall, i even used a 3rd party firewall to allow it and its respective TCP/UDP ports to go through yet my attempts have been met with utter failure. (Completely disabling the firewall didn't work either)

Any ideas, oh dear community?

Anti-virus as you know has nothing to do with this so you can leave that on.

Could it be that your router is forwarding those ports to a specific internal IP address but the IP address your PC is using on the internal network has changed since installing Windows 7 and setting up the network again, meaning that the port forwarding on the router is going to another device or subsequently nowhere?

Oh er one thing: you're meant to be forwarding port 5739 and not 5379 aren't you?

Dear Sir,

First off, i thank you for your swift reply,

Anti-virus as you know has nothing to do with this so you can leave that on.

Many Anti-Virus software have built in network security features (Kaspersky Internet Security, Norton Internet Security, etc). Therefore I suspected it might be it.

Could it be that your router is forwarding those ports to a specific internal IP address

As stated above, I'm currently connected directly to the modem, there is no router involved in any way.

Oh er one thing: you're meant to be forwarding port 5739 and not 5379 aren't you?

True, and yes I'm forwarding the correct port (via Windows Firewall, naturally). It's not that i assure you, since i allowed ALL UDP/TCP ports but the issue remains the same. As stated earlier, i even completely disabled windows firewall, so the issue may be greater than simple port forwarding via a firewall. (In most cases, simply "Allowing" a program to run via windows firewall should be sufficient enough)

Here's hoping someone might point out something i didn't think of!
