Winning The CL With FC Utrecht On Topplayer Without Reloads...

Hey all,

me and my friend are playing PES for quite a while (since PES2005).

We are both experienced players and know the game. We know all do's and don'ts and topplayer it is, as always.

We won the CL title over and over from the time that it was an option to pick in the menu of the game.
We won it with lots of teams, mostly top teams, such as Chelsea, Barca, Arsenal, Inter and ManU.

9 out of 10 times, we didn't need a reload to win it. By that I mean we play from game 1 till the finals and and don't lose from anyone. We don't need to save before an important match. With saving, if u lose that important match u can try it again, by reloading it.

Now we want to get the CL title with FC Utrecht, without any reloads. I think we tried this for 10 to 15 times. But it looks like it's impossible. In the semifinals or finals we always get beaten.

It is beaten in a way that's unacceptable. We really can't do anything about it. PES always been a game where the CPU uses some, discussable, moments to score or to make u not be able to score.

But in these CL games: FC Utrecht vs. Barca or vs. Inter in the semifinals or finals, it is really a joke...

It's like the game isn't embarresed at all on how they do it... The doubtful moments aren't even camouflaged in a way that it might look like it was possible...

The goals are crazy... The saves are crazy...
The ref's decisions are retarded and CPU AI mutates into GODMODE.

We play as smooth as possible, don't give away much goals. Our striker is always topscores in the tourny with like 13 to 17 goals. As the topassists, we mostly get #1 #2 and #3 all together. When it gets tough, we are able to communicate on how to change our tactics and get an advantage.

But this challenge... It's like it's impossible... We were so close again yesterday... Beaten Chelsea, beaten Real but got beaten by Barca in the semifinals.

It's like KONAMI doens't want a team, with that low stats be able to win the CL. Like the statsdifference with the topteams is too high, so they script the game u can't do it.

Of crouse, we won it over and over with FU Utrecht, BUT NOT WITHOUT RELOADING THE GAME AFTER A LOSS.

When we reload it, we win the semifinal or final with an easy 2-0.

Anyone has experienced this as well?

No matter how good you are, the game still screws you over with the scripting. I still can't get my unbeaten ML season trophy on top player. I don't deserve to actually lose any games, but thanks to the scripting, I do. Can never seem to win at Old Trafford for example.

I was able to get the "All Wins In ML" achievement. After 3 seasons or so I was be able to do it with a very strong, self developed team.

It's the CL without reloads, with FC Utrech (low stats team) that keeps failing...

Also how strong is you ML team? My highest rated is about 88, with most of my other players being low to mid 80s.

that's quite the team! I always create a fictional team me and my friend decided to set up a decade ago. Start with ratings around 50, starting in DIV 2 (change it to Dutch Jupiler League).

First year we didn't promote, ended first in second season. Then there was a major boost in the first eredivisie season and came in second. played champions league the year after and got knocked out in the semi finals. I guess, at that time, players had a rating around 75? i reached the semi finals three times but managed to win the champions league after 4 years! Players stats were around 85, so same as yours. so apparently you CAN win over those cheating bastards, I guess it all depends on style of play, willingness to change your tactics and will.
For example, the year I reached the final for the first time I lost 3-0 at home to Liverpool. But I came back strongly with a more attacking style of play and won at Liverpool 1-4... It's all about not throwing away the controller when you're down.

The real challenge is the no reload with FCU in the CL

you're complaining its impossible to win the CL on the hardest difficulty with FC Utrecht with no reloads?


Sorry but thats just not a realistic scenario anyway, of course some dodgy shit will happen. If you win it once in 1000 attempts then it'd probably be right.

Also, are you playing with 2 players in the same team or your friend plays on his own console?

The multiplayer? No it doens't. It makes u be able to have some real play instead of playing like PES wants u to.

In the groupstage we beat Inter, Werder and Auxerre. We whiped our butts with Inter twice by winning 3-0 and 0-3.

Knockout stages brought us Real: 0-0 and 2-1. We scored the second goal in the second half's injury time. Definately the hardest match of the entire tourny.

Barca, twice a win.

AS Roma, twice a win.

Final: Inter again for a rematch. We beat them with 1-3 after getting behind 1-0.

IT IS A REAL HARD CHALLENGE TO TRY BUT IT IS POSSIBLE!!! FC UTRECHT!!!

I tend to find that makes things more difficult.

No way, playing with 2 people on the same team makes it much easier as it allows you to easily set up the cut back passes and time through balls properly.

This seems to happen to me all the time, when I play against Barca....Its like Calciopoli but Barca have all Referee rights. Ex. I come in an attack one on one with the GK, I got Quagliarella, and then Pique just slide tackles me from behind, and Valdes takes the ball...NO FOUL. I tried the same thing 3 times, same thing, some times wither Puyol or rarely D. Alves...when the go one vs one I tackle Messi/Villa and I get a red card for Bonucci/Chielllini... It is screwed up, me and my brother call it the Barcelona lag
