This has just been released on PS2, Xbox and PC, it looks quality aswell.

Some info:

Continuing the pedigree and success of the World Championship Snooker franchise … “The most realistic snooker simulation ever made” (PSW Magazine) World Championship Snooker 2004 features 30+ of the current top professional snooker players including Stephen Hendry, plus Mark Williams, Steve Davis, Ken Doherty, John Higgins, Tony Drago, and many more.
Players can compete in all the real tournaments featured in the current 2003/4 Snooker season - The LG Cup, British Open, UK Championships, European Open, Welsh Open, Irish Masters, Player’s Championship, The Masters, The World Championships, and many more; the ‘LG Tour’ Mode allows the user to play through unlimited seasons as a Snooker pro; and World Championship Snooker 2004 features all the top players, venues, trophies, and real tournaments of the 2003/4 Snooker season.

All the major snooker arenas modelled in incredibly-accurate detail, including the Crucible Theatre, home to the World Championships.

World Championship Snooker 2004 also features Xbox live and PS2 online support, including a uniquely designed online snooker championship (Xbox)

Fan’s favourite, John Virgo’s trickshots mode, has been updated to include both snooker and pool trickshot challenges.

New modes include the ‘Classic Match’ mode featuring some of the most nail-biting moments in World Championship history, including the great 1985 final between Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor (famously watch by 18.5 million viewers at the time, a record for a broadcast after midnight).

Any of those shots from the ps2. I think my mates played it on the x-box said it was quality, me and him used to have 32 frame match ups on the old one 2002? Classic match mode looks good, they should do this for all sports games !

I got those from the official site, I'm not sure which format those screenshots are taken from, I've got 2003 aswell, one of my favourite games.

The screenshots below are definitely PS2 though:

I can't tell from that pic, but has Ronnie got that stupid alice band in his hair and does it have all the stupid hair cuts all the snooker stars have these days.

Probably gonna release a "Paul Hunters Snooker" game where you get have stupid hairstyles talk in a squeeky voice and have sex with your girlfriend in the dressing room during the interval.

I'll probably get the game myself (for PS2) in a couple of weeks or so, looks great.

I've got World Championship Snooker for the PC, which is good.

This is online as well isnt it, and I've been planning on getting a network adapter at some stage.

Yeah it is online, although I don't have a network adapater either.

I think it's a great game, the classic match section is a good addition, the players also look more lifelike than before

i had the first one on the PS1 and it was a quality game. Still, Jimmy White's whirlwind on the Amiga will take some beating!

I think Hunter is sponsored by Eidos - so I'd imagine there was a clause in the deal he signed. Damn shame cos he's a good player.

One thing new for the X-Box is custom soundtrack compatibility. Plus I like the 9 ball pool as well.

I'm exactly the same - except for the yesterday bit
Oh and except for the having ordered it bit :(

I really really want it it's just......I don't know whether I can spend that much on a snooker game (i do like snooker, it's the game bit - I'd rather just go round the corner and play actual snooker)

Anyway that aside it looks top class

50!

115 and Counting...
It looks really good! Im not sure about getting it though. I had a Snooker game on the PS1 and it was'nt that great. It was world championship snooker 2001 or something but it was really bad coz of that aiming thing. The graphics were appaling as well  I might do what u did Gary renting it out first sounds like a good idea.
