Since as far as i know you cant mod the psp version of Winning Eleven 9 theres no way to make an english translation patch. But since i wud just like to know what player im using at a particular moment i expirimented with using japanese characters that looked similar to english letters. Kinda works just wonderin if anyone thinks this might be a good idea or if its completely iditotic. And if by chance someone might make an option file with all players name.

Thread title edited. Wish people would make relevent thread titles instead of being so wishy-washy all the time. What a great forum it would be if every thread title was "why?", "when?", "but because!" and crap like that.

You don't need translations to be able to play the game.

I think I'm getting the hang of where everything is in the menus for this now, although the buttons in game are a pain. Apparently select does something, and I can't figure out how to do any skills without the dual triggers, a guide rather than a translation patch to run off the memory stick would be helpful.

I also can't believe there is no master league and no way to edit kits, although you can use a PS2 WE9 option file that adds the sponsers and badges there is no way I can find to change the kits themselves.

all the explanations for 'special moves' are in japenese with and icon of triangle or select, near impossible to guess the specifics and insructions. If there was some sort of tutorial with pics and controls in english that would be awesome. Go team pes!

The menus should be the same as PES5 so you'll be able to look at PES5 and find out the moves. Or a patched version of PS2 WE9.

Is it possible to patch the psp version?

Savegame available

Go to PSPUpdates any search engine should take you there, go to there file section and their savegame section, there is a savegame available there, save that, copy accross by USB and voila! Player names are all in English as are most team names. Text all still in Japanese but to be honest menus are pretty much the same as the English language versions so no real hassle! Anyway, hope that helps. Heres waiting for some bright soul to work out some way to hack this like the Xbox PS2 versions.
