WTF is with diving headers?

Has anyone scored one yet? Or even connected with one? I just scored my first one. The guy threw himself at it and the ball hit his chest, my guy just flopped to the ground, and the ball trickled over the line.

WTF? Is this a glitch or something, or are all my players just bell ends who can't use thier heads?

lol id put it down to bell ends. ive had a few players do stupid things and i end up screaming at the tv then turning it off ( im not the best when it comes to good sportsmanship)

lol i actually scored a great header .. from a corner i crossed with hazard then the other teams player headed it bizarelly really hard which went straight to zarates head it bounced off and went inthe goal and he actually fell from the force lollll just wish i had enough space to have recorded damn you 40gb ps3's!!!!!

you just have to time it this year unlike the previous years where you can basically spam the shooting button as the cross comes in

SO TRUE.

I too have noticed that you have to time it now. You can't hit the shoot button as soon as the ball is in the air like year's past.

I must be doing something right then as nearly all the goals of have scored have come from Headers. Cant say Ive even seen a diving header yet though.

Oh I can score normal headers, I've scored aload already, it's just that when the ball is about waist height, they usually just do a diving jump throgh the air and end up underneath or above the ball.

I was kind of joking when I said they might be crap at heading, because in reality, it is the likes of Ibrahimovic, D. Millito, Tim Cahill (before you laugh, he has mid 90's for jumping and acc.).

Yeh that happens to me a lot, players doing a diving header under the ball, when they should use a normal header, if it wasn't so funny it would be frustrating, although I seem to score a fair few diving headers.

What annoys me more is if they head it when i want them to volley it, I'll wait till the balls low enough to volley and they'll try a diving headers which ofc isn't as powerful so the keeper catches it.

Idk i was having a hard time with headers at the beginning too but i figured out i was trying to aim them and that sends the ball to row z...basically you just have to tap the shoot button it aims it automatically, its simplified but its not a bad thing
