it doesn't matter what company supplys the broadband, as long as u have a router to connect to the xbox

do u even need a router cant it just be put frmm a network card in your pc.

or via ethernet port staight from the modem its self

i have mine running off a switch which is connected to a shared net connection with my downstaris pc and it works fine

You can't have a direct connection from what I gather.

The different connection methods can be found on there too, along with a lot of other useful info.

Yes, XBL can connect to AOL, as Matt Shez is on AOL and he has XBL, the only porblem with it, is that you have to go into "Internet Sharing" everytime you want to go on XBL!

you can us AOL broadband, but it has to be the DSL version, a Cable modem wont work!

Have you got a router? if so i may be able to talk ya thru it, u connect ya router thru the usb and follow the installation proccess on the CD then you connect ya ethernet cable from ya router to ya xbox then u turn ya xbox on in it shud automatically detect ya connection thne u follow the steps and create ya gametag etc.
