In some situations you may get an error, saying that the loading of the option file failed. This happens when you go into live mode, and you sign out later, ; it is a message which is only one second on the screen, saying 'option file damaged'.
The effect from this is that all my edited teamnames and players are gone, setted back to default.

You only get this bug if the following conditions occur:
- if you used the 'load formation'- option (see formation screen) OFF line, and after that going at LIVE.
- If you did NOT succeed in finding an opponent and sign out without having played. If you DID play, the bug will NOT occur.

So if you never use loaded custom formations, this bug wil not occur.
If you DID load a formation and you want to go to LIVE, just switch off the xbox and start over. Then the loaded formation is unloaded.

I of course wrote Konami about this bug.

so accordin to what youre sayin mate, u can axually play with edited players online?? shouldnt they set back to default when playin online?

No, you can play with edited formations, but all other editing is gone after this bug occurred...

So if you wait until you are connected to LIVE and then loading your saved formations, you are OK?

No, because you cannot load anything from your harddisk/memcard when on-line :(

so let me get this straight:

I am on live against another player and we are in the formation screen...example I am using Real Madrid and I want to play a 5-4-1 formation...I have it saved on my mem card....since im online...I cannot just load my pre-set 5-4-1 formation??? so you mean I have to manually set everything from the formation screen???

Yes, correct, if you did not load your formation off line before going to LIVE.
But if you set it that way you risk to loose your edited teams.
I in the mean time found out that the bug does not occur if you played matches at LIVE, but if you are so unlucky not to find opponents, you have a problem...
