Xbox Live Marketplace Downloads?

Does anybody know if Konami are going to release any downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace for PES 6? e.g. strips, stadiums, player names or maybe even an editor which you can dowload and change everything yourself.

It would explain why so much has been stripped out - so they can sell it back to us on 360 marketplace. I'd love to believe this, but i don't think Konami are so clever. They're too busy concentrating on a certain Japanese console thats 3 times more powerful than the 360 (note: sarcasm).

360 is the way forward,ps3 is overpriced,i had bin loyal too sony but they make crap so i moved onto ms.here is a run down of my sony experience.
playstation1,played it 4 a long time but the middle ring where u place the disc broke thru no fault of my own, they knew this type of thing wud happen and made more money by releasing the ps1 small version which i bought and still have as i dont use it.ps2 bulky, stopped playin purple discs so it was a risk buying a game not knowing if itd work, this was after bout 4months,finally stopped reading altogether, suprise surprise they release the pstwo a smaller version,i again buy,i have now sold to buy the 360.i also had a psp, buttons didnt work properly, umd tray was pertruding frm console, used warranty got a new 1,sold it.

To be perfectly honest, and i'm both a PS2 and 360 owner, IF Konami and Microsoft have conspired in some way to make sure PES6 next-gen is limited out of the box, in order so that they can charge for features on marketplace that were otherwise gold standard since PES appeared on the console market - and are already found in the PC and PS2 version (like Player editing, transfer options, classic teams, classic players and a save replay options) - then i'd find that completely disgusting and would urge people to take back PES6 to the shops and really have a moan at every opportunity so that the discourse is felt by the people taking the micky out of us.

It'd be dispicable that on one hand they give you marginally improved graphics, widescreen support and the ease of Xbox Live mic chat online games, but then take away the standard PES features we all know and love.

I wouldn't be surprised if these features do crop up on marketplace. And the worse thing is, 360 owners are in no real position to avoid getting them as they're features any PES player would jump at the opportunity to have. If they DO appear MS/Konami would just be exploiting xbox users and that's way out of order.

Don't think they will? Well think again because MS quite happily let Lumines Live be a barebones Live Arcade title for 1200 points and it features more "pay-to-play", but optional download packs to increase the other barebones game modes found in the 1200 point "full game".

Still don't think it will happen? Is that why MS let EA introduce a disgusting download scheme whereby extra weapons and "in-game money" cheats for The Godfather have to be bought via download for 360 users, when other formats such as the PS2 version, have it included for FREE in the full retail game? Is that why MS let EA introduce a bunch of pointless Madden strategy vids, craftifly chopped up into MANY bitesize pieces, none of which for free and charges for them?

Yep, i reckon you'll see loads of PES6 downloads, and it'll all be the features that they stole out of the PS2/PC versions, ready to milk the cash from PES 360 fans. They saw there's no need for the fake, in-game 360 PES shop, because marketplace is more suited to being the REAL 360 PES shop, with real money involved this time too.

"Charge 'em, and charge 'em again for the privilege" - that's the marketplace microtransactions mantra.

There still may be content even if the box doesn't say there is. However im sure if Konami were to release new content it would be usueless and too expensive

Freelancer pretty much sums it up here, if Konami were to implement this it would truely mark the beginning of the consumer being forced to intake thier favourite games by micro-episodic chunks. As owners of a 360 copy, especially with the console's next-gen billing, we should be entitled to a game which seems to be superior to the PS2/Xbox version.

At the moment, it seems Konami fed us a load of drivel instead giving us:

- Marginally improved graphics
- Xbox 360 Live support

at the expense of

- the edit mode
- the scenario/challenge training mode
- saving replays (excl. ML)
- stadiums

Mirroring another P.O.V, the game seems to split into two branches - an Offline and an Online version - so far the Online one is by far the superior version, and if anything, the only reason I purchased PES6. Even that has been a nightmare to set up - but I'll reserve my judgement until the influx of new players settles.

In a nutshell, Konami will be doing an "EA" if they opt to go for purchasable extras for PES6 on XBL, imho they should be free, like patches.

I've seen someone else mention that quote as well and it was the first thing I went looking for on mine but I can't see it. The intro paragraph to the Xbox live section in my manual does mention something about downloadable content though (sorry, got it at dinnertime and don't have it with me now).

My back cover also mentions something about some of the live features requiring specific hardware then mentions in brackets "e.g. headset, camera"!.....

Camera? There must extra downloadable camera content coming at the very least then or I have missed something that's already been announced about the camera. Have I?

Interesting. If that's not a typo on the back of the box, then it could mean downloadable content is to support a create player feature with Vision camera support.. But it's all a bit fishy isn't it that if that was Konami's aim, why isn't it in the full game? Rush job, or something more sinister? I suspect a little of both. It'd be terrible to discover Konami are holding things back and asking PES fans to pay for them though.

I'm still struggling to understand why there's no save replay feature for exhibition games when the 360 comes packed with a 20gig hard drive? Surely it can't be an issue of limited space when users can delete content to make more room if need be.

Listen fuck face, unless you've got the PS2 or PC versions you can't save replays. I don't know what retard manual your reading but it doesn't say anything about saving them.
