Forgive me if this question is really stupid, but I'm new to pro evolution. I haven't owned a football game since the glory days of ISS98 on the 64 (my fav game ever!). I was sold to pro evo on the basis of playin pro evo 4 at a mates on xbox last week, shits all over fifa

Anyways, is there any difference in the PS2 and xbox versions? I have both consoles but no clue as to whether there is any difference in the game. Thanks in advance

I preferred the ps2 version at first as it's hard to adjust to the xbox controller, but i've bought a Dreambox converter, which allows you to use ps2controller on the xbox, so prefer the xbox version now. The graphics seem a bit better, and there is no slowdown, but I haven't noticed much of a difference apart from that. I would still recommend the PC version over both console versions, though, it's great being able to edit teams so easily to keep everything up to date.

Theres no real difference but it has been said that due to the Xbox's built in Hard Drive the slow-down which is experienced on the PS2 when too many players are on screen - for instance some corners - is non-existent.

yep got the xbox version. No slowdown at all. faster loading and better video memory on the system, so its all pretty smooth. Its a shame the xbox version is just a port though, otherwise it would actually look better, with perhaps its own set of features.

i prefer the ps2 version cause i was at my friends a couple of hours ago and his own xbox deleted his option file and every thing else. The xbox should get there own footie game pro evo was born on ps1 and ps2

PES4 is sh!t on the PS2, after getting it for the SEXbox, I just can't play it on the PS2. It's just slow and poo. Go for the SEXbox version, you really won't regret it.

i will buy the x box version it is kinda hard to ajust to a xbox pad but once your do i actully think they are better

also loading times on ps2 are shocking and also slowdown and no crowd in pes5 on ps2 that is soo bad
also x box live is better than ps2 network system for online play

so id say x box all the way

I don't see how people struggle to adjust to the SEXbox controller, I think it's quite ergonomical.

Slow? What are you on about? Sounds like you don't know what settings to play the game on.

PS2 all the way.

I got pes4 on the xbox and ps2 to be honest playing on the PS2 makes it a lot easier but it's faster on the x-box and the graphics are better but I prefer PS2 because a lot of my homeboys got a PS2 and they don't like the X-box joystick...but if you used to the x-box joystick buy it for the x-box (Y)

In fairness, both my mate's TV, which are the only PS2s I'd played it on, weren't able to be played in 60hz. Still, SEXBOX is faster and better lookin.

Not hard to get used to xbox controller. Its all in the mind. I can now easily play as I did on ps2. Its no disability to play on xbox, trust me. If you havent done so with pes4 give it a try with pes5.

Are we talking about PES5 here or the 4th one?

Cos i'd like to know if they've actually used xbox's graphical advantage at all with PES5... or is it just a straight port again like PES4 was?

I'm not used to either the ps2 OR xbox controllers, so either one will be a learning experience and will hold no advantage I'd imagine.

I've been stuck witha cube the last few years until recently, sans pro evo :(

You played PES5 on the xbox? How was the graphics?

Is it a straight port of the PS2 version like PES4 was or is there something more fancy to it visually? (smoother framerate, sharper textures etc?)

PS2 every time. I have played a lot on both systems and the X-Box version is wank. Shoddy controls (and controllers for that matter) and some very strange passing mechanics.
