XBOX Users... Left Analog Problem :-/

Does anybody else have problems when playing the game with the left analog stick to control your players? Like they run off in random directions, or you can be sprinting one way holding the stick right, but then the player will all of a sudden jerk left, up, or down. At first this didn't seem to happen but now it keeps happening more and more. I thought it was my pad, but I changed pads and it does it no matter what pad I use.

Anyway now I use the directional pad to control my player, and it doesn't seem to happen with this, it seems to go where I want it to. But I find using the directional pad awkward, uncomfortable, and don't feel like I'm playing the way I really want to by using that.

Does anyone else experience this same problem? If so is there any solution? Or will their be a patch becoming available to fix this?

Running bug. Konami will release an update in November to fix it.

The temporary solution right now is turning the tv to 1080i or 1080p, forgot which one you have you to switch it to. The other thing you can do is turn on both controllers, turn the first one off and play with the second controller.

Has this been verified or has someone just made it up? I have tried this on 2 TVs at my house and changing to any of the given TV settings makes no difference and my friend has also tried changing his xbox settings at his house and it solves nothing. Can you verify this as working advice?

This also doesn't work for me. You are saying start the game with 1 controller then hold the Xbox navigation button and switch it off?
This doesn't work, doing this will cause the Xbox to turn into Rainman and demand you "please re-connect the controller". If you connect a different controller that will register as the 2nd controller, so it will still keep flashing demanding you turn the original controller you were using back on.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm trolling you, but both of these bits of advice seem to be myths and a lot of people that don't even have an xbox to test it are purporting it to be universal fact when it isn't.

To the OP- the only way I can get round this fault is by connecting a 2nd controller and sliding that across to the team I want to be. Then I have to select 'manager mode' with the first controller which is a real pain as the first controller still needs to be at hand to skip the pointless replays for offsides and fouls etc (really wish Konami would stop forcing us to watch these pointless clips!)

What i did in the demo was connect both controlers and when the Game ask you to press start press start on controller two and go from there. Dont use controller one at all. Only keep it logged in. Hope this helps

Yeah you need to have both controllers signed in an account for it to work. So sign in the first account, don't use it and wait for it to turn off. Use the 2nd controller to play.

How long is that wait though? Is it a case of starting up the game then leaving the room for 10 minutes? Sounds a bit of a convoluted system

you can leave controller 1 turned on./doesnt matter. just log them both in.and then only use player two. press start with player two, and select the saving device with controller two. that way you v=can control the game as player two. so no need to switch controls for tactics and formations. thats it

Ah I get you now. Sounds good I'll try that out I have a wired controller so I'll use that as controller 1 and immediately unplug it once I've pressed start with a wireless. Can't wait I'll finally be able to skip replays!

Thanks guys. I've tried the 2 control pad trick and it seems to be working. Feels great like I'm back in control of my players. Let's hope this new patch really does fix this problem and things can go back to normal again.

Yes, they both work.

I'll outline the easist way to do the second method: Before you even put the PES 2012 DVD in, turn both controllers on and sign in with the second one. You can then turn the first off as it doesn't have a profile signed in. After that, you can put the PES 2012 disc in and play accordingly with the second controller. No message to reconnect the first controller will appear. The main thing is you have to do this whole thing before you put the game in to avoid any annoying problems.

Yeah I've done this, still can't get it to work as you say.

The problem is that I turn my xbox on, it automatically signs in to my main profile- the profile that contains my PES OF.

So I then have to "switch profile" to a 2nd profile. Then I sign controller 2 into my main PES profile.

So now I can start the game using the 2nd controller and sign into my PES OF fine. But if I turn the 1st controller off it again demands I turn it back on just because it was signed into another profile.

So I have no problems controlling the game with the 2nd controller but there is no way I'm allowed to turn off the first controller otherwise the Xbox starts complaining

Okey.

1. turn on xbox and log both controlls in
2. the game starts and ask you to press start, then press start on controller 2
3. select your save divice with controller 2
4. have fun playing with controller 2. leave controller one alone dont touch it dont use it, turn it of burn it.

Hope this helps

Why can't you sign out of the profile for your first controller?

Ok, no idea if those reported solutions work but could someone explain why in the living hell those solutions work? Using a second controller, wtf? To me it sounds like a pile of poo but as there's quite a few people saying it works I guess I'll take their words for it.

Yeah it's stupid isn't it, but for some strange reason it works, I load xbox up with pad one, then turn on pad 2, then i just play with pad 2 while leaving pad 1 on, it works but its so stupid to have to do that. It just sucks because you can't really play 2 player games with your mate properly, without one of you having the dodgy bug. I hope a patch will sort this out properly.
