PES 2014 wasn't good from the beginning; the patches had some good approches but after patch 1.16 I finally have to say: The game is completely destroyed! It's just unplayable. I mean: It's really, really bad!
The movements, the ball physics (especially in full manual mode), the collision system, the pass assistance, the (magical) KI abilities, the cheat scripting: Everything's ridiculously bad and doesn't feel like proper programming work. I won't play this game again and I won't buy another PES until I'm not completely convinced it's a quality product.

I just started to play PES 2013 again, with the Yair gameplay patch and the option.bin file set to read only to prevent some of the annoying cheat scripting and I have to say: It's a MUCH better game!

we were conned pes2014 from day one was a broken game unfinished and rushed out to compete with fifa then patched to remove SOME of the issues adam batti & his CONami crew need sacked and replaced with gamers who know what the pes community want

How can You play a soccer simulation game -a team game- when You single-handedly have to do everything when the rest of your team mates have no interest in playing.

Besides the obvious erroneous player switching mess. There is always a game mechanics dictating that your team mate will wait for the cpu to act before he is allowed to switch his AI on.

"I can run to reach the ball before You. But I will hang around here. You take the ball first".

"After I successfully tackle and take the ball from you, I will just ignore the player's controller input for a while until You take the ball back from me".

"When he switch the control to me, I will pause and make a ridiculous animation pose as if I am constipated before he could control me, then You will re-posses the ball".

Your team mates' speed and acceleration is always dampened to allow cpu to break through in any loose ball or chase situation.

They will run/move into a pre-determined dynamic formation to make your passing to them extremely difficult and always interceptable by cpu.

They will run/move into a pre-determined dynamic formation to create space/hole for cpu to exploit. They will stop marking, avoid ball, avoid player.

This is not a game any more. It is a sabotage and handicap obstacle course for the most patient and masochistic.

The game will relentlessly irritate You to the point of rage quit every time. No matter how many times you tried to give it a chance.
