hey everybody,

i have read posts in this forum for quite some time and now decided to register.

i have just started my first ml and try to make some first signings. since my squad is super thin. i'm playing with chelsea and generally play very offensively.
my first signing was chygrynskiy for about 30 mil. I have now offers for de jong for 21 million and gourcuff for 32 million; i would get them both in the winter break of the first season. Are these acceptable prices? I currently have have just over 100 million left in the bank.

Yes very acceptable prices. Gourcuff will be worth over 100M in 2nd / 3rd season. Btw, don't forget that you have to pay in August again, so if you are out of money, ull be in trouble.

Has to be Cywka ... picked him up on a free transfer when he was released by his club. Has been voted the European Footballer of the Year for 3 consecutive years. I have a feeling though his teammate Kravets will be the next European Footballer though.

A bit bout Cywka ... he's rated at only 80 overall but he gets me a bag load of goals in the league, cup, and ecl.

I think in reality, the european player of the year is almost always awarded to a player from the team that won the ECL. So I reckon it's a reflection of reality?

Toni Kroos (club: Munich - age: 19 - pos:AMF) seems to develop really well and is very good at dribbling past players and shooting from the middle - definitely recommend. But he can only play attacking midfield so i trained him to become an SMF aswell

Mytholonas - (19 - CF) No idea who this guy is, can't dribble to save his life BUT HE IS AN ABSOLUTE BEAST AT HEADING, scores all the time whenever it comes into the box, set-pieces or crosses.

Acosta - (20 - Everywhere) - This is utility player you want to get. Can play anywhere apart from centre back (DMF, CMF, SMF, AMF, CF, SS, WF) which is his strength

Okaka Chuka (club: Roma, age: 20, pos: CF) This guy develops really well (improved from 75-80 in half a season). Had this guy on loan and he can finish from anywhere. Tried my absolute hardest to sign him permanently, but couldn't but i would definitely recommend this guy.

Started with PES united (renamed to Paradise City... get it?) and master league default players. I'm playing in Serie A, now 5/6 seasons in.

Best signings:
Talles Cunha - great striker. Powerful dribbling and great shot. Overall only 81 but shooting and dribbling in 90's
Haedo Valdez - silky skills, accurate dribbling and classy finishing. Bought 2 seasons ago; he won European player of the year both seasons since he joined. Bought for around 15 million. Overall now 92
Nuchstein - great all rounder and utility player (nearly all mid and def positions) - 95 overall
Wijnaldum - super fast. 94 overall

Team
GK: Butnen (86)
RB: North(79)
CB: Kim Jong Yeul (85)
CB: Palmeiri (94)
LB: Dyrestam (82 CB; 78 when played SB)
DMF:McKenzie (96)
RMF: Nuchstein (95 DMF; 86 when played SMF)
LMF: Wijnaldum (94)
AMF: Ribéry (86 SMF; 82 when played AMF)
SS: Haedo Valdez (92)
CF: Talles Cunha (81)

Butnen, North, Kim Jong Yeul, Palmeiri and McKenzie are all signed from the youth team and are fantastic. Some of the other youth team players I brought up to the squad are Oscar (All midfield positions currently 74 overall), Virota (82 overall) and a 17 year old SB/SMF called Pique (69 overall) who is apparently the next Maicon according to my scout. I used to have Schwarz (CF) but sold him for 30m to Chelsea as he was decreasing stats once he reached ~80 overall. Had Shimizu up too and he is currently rotting in the reserves as he stopped developing at 79 overall and plays like shit now. permenant down arrow and a broken heart.... was useful in the beginning though.

Trying to buy Pato now (from Spurs!!!?!?!?!) who currently has 97 overall, but he can "never see himself leaving TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS" - WTF?. Been trying to buy him for three seasons now. Also tried buying Gourcuff to no avail. He peaked at 97 overall and is now on the downward so I think I'll leave him and stick with developing Ribéry who is 21 for me at the moment and playing pretty well.

My best signing so far is Miguel Veloso. I was after him for a year whilst managing Manchester United. I finally got to the money part, £37,000,000 was the price. But let me tell you lads, don't be put off by that price because you won't regret it. He has power, speed, agility and is a great playmaker and passer of the ball. Got two goals on his debut on 'Top Player' difficulty vs Liverpool. Quality player lads, you won't regret it.

My worst signing so far has got to be Quagliarella. I payed £41,000,000 for him at the rating of 86. He scored 2 goals for me in 18 games at RS. He missed plenty of one-on-ones and sitters. His shots were always scuffed, his passes rarely made it and his headers were always roofed. I know you could say but you were controlling him, but I took nearly all my chances with Rooney and Giggs, but not him. I later transferred him to Arsenal for the fee of £53,000,000 at the rating of 87 so I was quite pleased with that. :)

My best signing apart fom Aguero (£92M) probably was javi martinez, beast of a player with great skill pace and shot. My next target is Balotelli but i have been trying to sign him for ages but he won't come, even though i won the treble.

Thanks, ahmoh_92!

I've started a ML with a created team and the default players (Castolo, etc.). After having read about Mytholonas, I tried to buy him and I got it! I can confirm what you said. This guy is absolutely a beast at heading. Totally worth of buying.

^ As i mentioned earlier in other threads, i think the idea of youth promising players is good, but i don't really think konami got it right.

Agreed. Personally, I would make many changes:

*No player over 65 overall
*1 player in every 200. They need to be rare.

Has anyone mentioned Michel Bastos (SMF) or Gourcuff (CMF)?
After 1 or 2 seasons they are up to 91 and 92 respectively.
Both strong, fast, skillful, good passers and can score from 30m!!
These two have it all!!
If you have to choose go with Michel Bastos as his starting stat is around 75 i think so is cheaper. You wont believe how quickly he improves.
They are worth every penny.
