FIFA RTWC 98

I Spent Many A day playing Road to the world cup, it was by far the best FIFA game ever Released. The only thing wrong with it (and most other FIFA games) is the dissapointing unrealistic results it produced.

Happened many a time, You take your team, whoever they may be. Right through the Qualifing stages of the world cup all the way to the big day the WORLD CUP FINAL. YES!!! you think, this is gonna be class. Then..............................

DUM DUM DUMMMMMMM.....

9 times out of 10 you are paired against Azerbijan, or Asbeckistan or summat like that. how annoying... you want the top teams in the final. not the eastern minnows.

But the Leagues were class... I've been a ISS / PES man ever since. you never get a dissapointing final like that.

Mine would have to be the first fifa title they released for the original saga genesis, don't remember the exact date or title, but it was a blast to play at the time.

the best fifa was the one with the indoor stadium, FIFA 98 i think. That was well fun, wicked for multiplayer madness! I must confess i do own FIFA 2003, I only play after i watch The Premiership coz it is so real. When i have WE6FE patched, i dont think il ever touch it again!

Fifa 98: RTWC was a good game. Very fun.

Fifa 97: The indoor factor was brilliant.

Fifa 2003: This showed major improvements.

but overall...

There are not a f***ing patch on PES series. ;)

Yes FIFA 98 RTWC was the one with indoor along with 97, and i must agree with you Hank that the only down side was challenging low class teams like San Marino etc.

I think the best was 98 yes. And i also bought 2003 because everybody was veru positive about it and its real he (real names and sponsors etc) but i played a week and i will never touch it because i used to play pes so i will never like the fifa series i will never like it again i think. Pes is so many times better.

The best Fifa is the ´98 version (RTWC). You have A LOT of teams, and you can play with ALL of them at the same time. :)

The second place is for Fifa ´97.

Other Fifa than thouse, there are pure crap.

the only FIFA game that i played was FIFA '95/96 on SEGA mega drive, after that i play Konami: Goal Storm(97) and WE series. Not even bother about FIFA or EA games anymore... :D

I've played all FIFA's since 1997 and the best game is FIFA road to World Cup, I think it's the most realistic game, the gameplay isn't so fast like in the new FIFAs. But anyway that doesn't really matter because everybody knows that PES rules;)

Fifa 2003 is a good game. I thought it was great until i bought PES2. Fifa doesn't even get a look in now. The gameplay in fifa 2003 is nowhere near as good as PES.

7 seasons in the frist 3 weeks i've owned the game and i still can't get enough.

MANU.FC = Premiership Champions 2003

I read a review for ISS3 today.
In summing up, it said:

"Better than FIFA 2003,
Not as good as PES2"

Nuff said!

I'm sorry but the only good fifa game is one that is on fire,I've never played such a bad portrayal of the great game.Sensible soccer was the best footy game before the legendary Pro Evo,everyone must have noticed that the bods at EA are just trying to make each new fifa more and more like Pro Evo.It's hard playing catch up

I must admit to enjoying FIFA 96? , but that was before their was any choice in the matter! I didn't play another footie game until ISS Pro Evolution arrived! I think I was put off by the 15-8 scorelines in FIFA 96.

I'd rather use FIFA 2003 as a coaster than play that s***! It's all well and good with a proper license, but Pro Evo and FIFA shouldn't even be uttered in the same sentence! Whoops!

I think we should get a petition going to send to FIFA's marketing division begging them not to give EA another license and to listen to the people and give it to Konami with a massive discount. Well, it's for the good of football, isn't it?

;)
