Youth Development...

Started a ML with the defaults, and promoted a couple of the youngsters. Shimizu and the like.

I've played them in every match, and have player development set to 'Normal' in the settings, but I have reached October and yet none have gained in any attributes.

I've assigned training focus points to all of them, and each has a 'red' bar in the training screen to signify growth.

Teamwork has improved but that's because they're new signings.

Is this a bug or am I being too impatient? I'm doing well in the league so it can't be results that are holding them back. I've got a top 5m coach as well. At what rate should attributes be expected increase?

I'd say give it until January. Maybe the stats are building up and will eventually reap rewards. Also if you've tried to spread the focus points around by allocating less per ability then that would obviously take significantly longer.

Either way if you've allocated the focus points with a £5mil coach then by the end of the season your young players' overall stats will have gone up by at least 2 when you check their development graphs.

I hope so, I intend on just developing the youth team rather than buy externally.

Worryingly the Development graph on every player has a straight line so far, that's including players not in my team, can't help but think the setting is somehow set to 'Off' despite saying otherwise.

The development graph starts measuring your players' stats from the season you acquired them in. So considering you're still in the first half of your first season, it's not surprising that your players- or any players in your ML file for that matter - haven't gained or lost any stat points.

If you want some insane growths, "Dynamic" development is the way to go.
