I've been reading your posts at this forum regarding the ps3 patch for a while now,and finally I have had it. The REASON for the lousy patch to produce sutch different result for everyone is the CAMERA ANGLE !!

If you are playing the default view(WIDE), on normal stadium, then you wouldnt have that much lag in the first place ! A little, but still, game is playable if you are used to this angle! (this is hdtv for your information,that is what I have).

BUT

If you are playing in Normal Long view which I myself and a lot of others are playing in (and always have played in) ( also broadcast I guess since it is not that much a difference ) the game is a lousy piece of crap! The lag is terrible..freekicks is unbearable! corners lag...u can play, but with OPTIMAL settings (removing pattern, no effects,white ball..u name it) there is still too much lag to not get freaking annoyed when playing! You can play,,but this will start to annoy you so much that you will just stop , its getting too frustrating!

And the patch has dumbed down the graphics a little ! The pitch is far crappier, just watch normal view and see. And while this might fix the very little lag on the WIDE angle, it still is a super laggy crap game on NORMAL VIEW! Thus not acceptable at all! Had it been a vacuum cleaner, then Konami would have lost millions due to paybacks,,but since it is a game this doesn't count ??

Even lousy IGN treated the game as a what..9.5 outta 10 ? they cannot have tested it enough, and strictly lied to all the customers out there, to trick them into buying the lousy game! No lag was viewable on youtube previews and other places was it?

So please...WRITE DOWN your camera angle when u state if the patch works or not! IT IS SUPER ESSENTIAL INFO! For us normal long players (kinda close view) the game is super annoying..for the WIDE dudes out there..the game i guess, is not so bad...

And i can tell you..for the normal long view..the patch did NOT work..it even seems like it made it WORSE! Cannot the lousy konami test the patch on this view themselves ? What is this ?


And I havent even commented the online play..which in my opinion should be DE-LABELED on the box as a possibilty for the game ! IT DOESNT WORK;;SO DONT WRITE ON THE BOX THAT IT DOES! It decieves customers,and we paid for the game to include online play, which it doesn't..

That is that!

Good point. I had earlier commented that the only camera angle that doesn't lag as much for me is "broadcasting 2" - and wide is actually far worse for me... Which I thought was down to the fact that there are a lot more players on the screen at the same time? Not sure how it lags the least for you? (This was also before the patch)

Still the default view is the worst which is still inexcusable.

Ps3 Patch on 32" HDTV connected by HDMI, wide angle near perfect grass looks a little worse but hey pro works now. Cut scenes before were slow mo and penalties were even worse but now patch seems to have taken care of these to a certain extent.

Happier Konami but still not over the moon.

....you see this is the point ive been saying all along i play on The Normal Long setting (on HD) and the offline Issues have been resolved for me....its fine i cant see how the patch is soo indiferent for many people who use the SAME settings.

Either way its unaceptable.....a patch is a patch....it should not be dependant on the users settings it should correct all problems despite whatever Definition the game is run through.....not being able to get this game refunded is against your statutory rights as a consumer.......i for one am ok with the game...

The worst thing about it all, is that NONE of these problems were mentioned by Konami or anyone else before the release! I mean,what,,did they first see it a couple of weeks after the release? It is false marketing all the way..

To be fair though, they're trying to sell a product. They're not gonna tell everyone it lags, becasue the online whores would hop straight over to FIFA.

Yeah, god forbid they admit the game was not finished. What kind of respectable company would do that? And damn the online 'whores' for choosing the best product for what they want. They should stick with the one which is unplayable! Who do they think they are?
This way, Konami bagged the cash, and everyone is happy.
