PES 2008 on PC and patching etc?

Seriously considering buying PES 2008 for my PC because I have seen here and on various other websites opportunities of downloading so may other option files and patches that we cannot get on the 360 or PS3.

what I dont understand is how this works, if I buy the game for my PC
is it easier to download these option files etc or do I need to be a technical wizard with lots of additional equipment.

Not even sure what I would need to buy to enablw me to play games on my PC in the first place - any comments please.

First, you would have to make sure you have PC specs that is compatible, or preferebly recommended to run PES2008 on PC.

For installing the downloaded patch(es), you'll just need two programs; Game Graphic Studio (GGS) and/or AFS Explorer.
Patching may be tricky at first, but you'll get used to it provided that decent instructions are included.

You should also buy a USB-Playstation/XBOX controller adapter, or just buy controller pads that are made specifically for PC that has more or less the same button arrangements as the PS/XBOX controller pads.
Or you can use the keyboard. :tongue:
