how do i edit option file

what software is best to use?
want to edit, player names, kits, add a team etc.

i am going to be transfering back to ps2 using a max drive.

any help would help,

Why not use the in-game editor, works just fine for me.

want to add my team, Southend United, and want to make the proper kit etc. so need to edit main option file in an external program
