Rock Band 2: The Opening Act

Cookie

Wait...
Picked up both Rock Band 1 and 2 today. I think I'll play the first for the mean time and leave 2 till Christmas, may aswell stick my brothers name on it too as that would be one less Christmas present to worry about. I have the guitar from Guitar Hero 3 to use, so I might just give one brother Rock Band 2, and my other brother the drums for it. God I'm a cheapskate.

Alive in the superunknown
I wish.

Be really good to get hold of this game, don't want GHWT - I want this one as there's more content... And it's developped by the original Guitar Hero chaps.

Mate bought this for PS3 (game imported) last week, so I went round to have a play. I've never played a RB/GH game before (or played an instrument), so naturally I dived straight into Ace Of Spades on Expert. Failed after less than 10 seconds.

Rest of the time I just did easy on guitar/drums, but I was surprisingly great with vocals. How do people manage to do it on Expert? Is it just practice, practice, practice..or via experience with real instruments?

The Three Amigos
Just practice, practice, practice.

I won't fail a song on Hard, but will struggle with Metallica and Judas Priest.

Can 5 star, even gold star on some, a lot of them on expert, but won't stand much chance on the top 5 hard ones on expert.

Think the only song on RB1 I didn't complete on expert was The Outlaws :(

EA announces that Rock Band 2 will finally reach UK PS3s and PS2s on March 27, Wii on April 24, with instrument pack costing £89.99.

The crazy, confusing world of UK Rock Band 2 release dates just got a little less crazy and confusing. EA, the game's distributor, has confirmed that the game will finally reach UK PlayStation and Wii consoles, long after the Xbox 360 version launched in November last year. The software will retail for around £49.99 on the PS3, £39.99 on the Wii, and £29.99 on the PS2. There will also be an instrument bundle available, which includes a copy of the game for £119 on PS3 and £109 for the PS2 and Wii version.

The franchise has been a big commercial and critical success for EA, with sales of 10 million units in 2008, 2 million of which were for Rock Band 2. This still lags behind rock rivals RedOctane, whose Guitar Hero World Tour sold 3.4 million copies in 2008.

Some good news for us UK PS3 users it would seem

Yah, I was reading through the comments and Xbox users are moaning about that...

Upon which point I found this posted by some random dude, who makes some good points actually...

If theres no changes to the game, why delay it?

This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever...people speak English in the UK and it got released in the US around Christmas, and Harmonix delayed it in the UK even though they didn't make any changes to the game at all. What's the point of doing that if you can release it in both countries at the same time and make more profit off it? .

I thought the track listing was the same on all games? whether it be released in the US UK or whatever?

So has the american version got different songs on it to the UK release?
