He's no Gianvito Plasmati - top scorer in my club with an average of more than a goal per game. Even Giuseppe Rossi and Marco Borriello huh can't match that although the former has 6 in 7 or something along those lines. Purchased Sergio Pellissier this evening as well, giving me a quality selection of strikers. All I need is a couple of Serie B strikers (to join Plasmati) as I might ultimately branch out into a Serie A squad and a Serie B squad - the latter is far more complete at present.

Any tips/suggestions for someone starting up? Just got my first free pack. Shall I save up to start buying more packs, or bid for individual players?

It depends what level squad you're looking to build. I wouldn't really advise opening gold packs at this stage, as the odds of you pulling a player you can sell for more than the cost of the pack are slim to none. If you get to the stage where you can afford risking gold packs, try wait until a Happy Hour to improve your chances of getting an In Form player.

If building bronze or silver players, then buying packs is fine. As you're starting new, do not discard ANYTHING without checking a database such as ultimatedb. You'd be surprised who wants that 38 year old Walsall defender and might pay you 150-200c when you were going to discard him for 8c!

Yup. Moses only set me back about 400 which was a bit of a steal, I thought. Just going to have to keep my eyes peeled! In the mean-time, it looks like I'm going to be having a lot of Brentford goons in my squad. Still don't really have a clue what's going on, but that's part of the fun.

Moses is cheap because his discard value is only 300-350 and there's better Gold, English CAMs that can be chosen over him.

Zaha is a SILVER English ST, with a lot of pace. Think he goes for 20k+!

Selling at 350 is quicker so I'd probably get just as much through selling at 350 then buying more at 200 and selling again at 350 than putting them up at 400 and putting them up again and again when they don't sell. Are you going by what other PS3 users have said about the prices or is that what they're going for on the xbox?

Before they fucked up the 59th minute, I would list 30-40 rare gold contracts, 75% would sell, the rest I would re-list. People will pick them up in the last minute, so not all of them will sell the first time round.

You will find that good chemistry will have your players gel well. They'll also get a bit of a stat boost for having good chemistry.

Not TOO important unless you're using a common formation like 4-1-2-1-2, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-4-1-1 and any other formations with a back 4. You can usually pick up a formation changer for 150.

Rumours are that there may be a silver tourney in a couple of weeks, so you might want to invest in some cheap, fast, silver nPower Championship players (500c); could x15 your money if lucky.

Also fast Brazilian silvers, although they're a bit more pricey, but the return should in turn be higher/better.
