Seems to vary a bit, usually about one season in Div 2 i.e. 20 games or so. Mine have ranged between 10 and 25 games. I'm restarting 5* ML just using youth players, so I'll be able to give you a better answer in a couple of weeks

that's an amazing achievement! What formation, tactics did you use? Like some of the others on this thread I've got bored with using the world class players in ML; I'm just restarting now using only youth players. But just using the default players on 5* must be incredibly difficult!

There's a special section called 'promising players' if you go into transfer negotiations, view players by team and scroll through onto the third page. Then sign a few up, play them in matches and allocate points as Trezeguet explains above
