Been away a long time from this forum, but I feel compelled to add my 2c to this discussion. PES08 on PS3 is nothing short of a technical debacle. Yes, the gameplay is still fantastic, yes the commentary is the best yet and yes it still has that bit of magic that makes those moments in PES so...

Try to not just hold down X, but instead run your dude around manually, and only press X when your near your target. Oh and don't get carried away with holding down [] either, lest you run around in circles...

Hah! I didn't think anyone used the sticks. I hate them for Pro Evo... too lose. However, having said that, after 4-6hrs of PES, there is nothing that that compares to the relief that your thumbs feel when you swap to the sticks for a game or two! D-Pad for me... sticks for GTASA/R&C etc...

I'd buy one this very instant, if I didn't already own a PS2. The reason? Mine sounds like a hoover vacuum, doesn't read all dual-layer DVDs, doesn't have built in IR for a remote and doesn't read DVD-R's. But like I keep harping on about, this PStwo isn't aimed at preexisting PS2 owners...

They are. Atleast, all the 3rd party ones I have are. The original PS2 underpowered? Mate, you lost alot credibility right there with that comment. Look as GT3 as an example of just how underpowered the PS2 is (sic). How old is GT3 now? And it still looks better than almost all other console...
