Upgrade to ATI 9200 SE worth it?

Could anyone lend me some advice about a possible upgrade?

I have a GeForce 4 420 MX video card (it's terrible...640x480 city) but my buddy says he could get me an ATI 9200 SE for about $60.

Is the 9200 good enough to warrant me spending $60 to upgrade my graphics presentation? Or am I better off just dealing with the 420 because the 9200 isn't that much of an upgrade?

yea i would not spend the $60 on that particular video card.. i dont know what currency u are talking about but.. look to save for a ti4200 bare minimum.. it is a decent card for its price.. and will increase the life of your current pc.. but basically the more u spend the more u get.. work on that.. most of the time...

Nope, would not recommened a 9200SE, as its not even the standard 9200, SE is the lite version, and so is just a slight improvement on the card you have now. 9600pro is what you want...will cost a bit more....but its an awsome mid range card, have a look around for that.

I also have some ati rage pro 128 and a intel graphics extreme 82854g at my disposal, any of those better than my geforce 420?

I just put a geforce 4200 ti in my PC (got it for free on a perma-loan off my friend :) ) and i'd highly recommend it as a cheaper card...i went from having to play at 640x480 on low detail (with my Kyro2 64MB card) to super-smooth 1024x768 at high detail.
My PC is just an Athlon 1.4 with 256MB Ram, so nothing too spectacular.

Get Ati Radeon - preferably to 9800. However, you will need to update your RAM as well if you dont have 512DDR RAM

9500 pro is better than the 9600 pro...

and I got the 9500pro at the price of a 8500xt. The place I got it from was ABS computers, and when I was buying my comp they were out of stock of the 8500, so I got the 9500pro at the price of the 8500.

Really nice card too. :D
